19 UMD-DAIRY ICE-CREAM FLAVORS NOW KOSHER:Kosher confectionaries no longer need despair, Maryland Hillel is no
pleased to announce that nineteen ice-cream flavors produced by th
UMD Dairy are kosher. These ice-creams are under the supervision
Rabbis Ari Israel and Eli Kohl, and enjoy the approval of the Rabbinic
Council of Washington.
During the transition stage, feel free to ask to see a label on tproduct (tub) that the ice cream is served from. It will either bear
temporary smiley face or eventually a BOLD KD.
The Dairy might nhave all of the Kosher tubs in place yet but the Dining Halls are fustocked with the Kosher flavors.
As non Kosher flavors still exist, you should request that the dipper washed at the sink, not just rinsed in the water trough.
Kosher flavors include: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, chocolate chip, classic mint chip, chervanilla, peanutbutter chip, coffee, coffee chip, peach, butter pecan, pistachio, toasted almond, vanilla crunch, finexam cram, rum raisin, higga berry and Oreo mint.

Maryland Hillel is excited and proud to announce that
have joined in partnership with Repair the World,
organization committed to inspiring American Jews a
their communities to give their time and effort to serve those in need.
Working together, Hillel and Repair the World will make volunteer service a defining component
