  • Responsibility Please be sure to arrive for your child promptly at their designated pick up times. Be sure to pack a lunch for your child each day or to place enough money in your childs ID for lunch for the week. We are responsible for your children as soon as they are acknowledged by the Classroom Manager. Under no circumstances is a child to be left in the classroom unattended.

  • What to Bring? Everybody Lunch or funds to purchase lunch. Tennis shoes to participate in Physical Education activities. Kinder Mat/ pillow for nap time Toys for playtime; make sure they have their names if needed and they take home at the end of EACH day. Elementary Swimsuit, sunblock, flip flops, towel, & a change of clothes if wanted. Pick up is right after pool time.

  • Cell Phone and Other Electronics Cell phones and other electronics (such as iPods, ipads, iPhones, nooks, DS, and etc.) will not be permitted during class time. Electronics can be used during recreational breaks and lunch. If they are misused they will be confiscated and given to parents at the end of the day. Continuing Education Staff / Volunteers are not responsible for any missing, broken, or stolen items.

  • TAMIU IDs This card can be used to purchase food, snacks, supplies from the TAMIU Food Court and Bookstore. Adding money can be done with cash or credit card Credit card: OnlineOnline Cash: Cash Machine located in Student Center Food Court and at ID services ZSC-131 You can begin taking your child to the Campus Card Services located in ZSC-131to have their picture ID taken. Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Friday: 8:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. If your child is attending Elementary Session I & II the same card will be used for both sessions. If your child looses the ID card you will need to pay a $5.00 fee to get it reissued.

  • CAMP SCHEDULE DROP OFF & PICK UP MAP Classroom Managers have copies of the Camp schedule for you. Iris Guevara has copies of the drop off & pick up maps

  • Trainings CE Camp Personnel are CE Staff and Administrators CE Camp Instructors CE Lifeguards CE Classroom Managers CE Volunteers All CE Camp personnel are required to: Complete and pass with 100% the Child Protection Training Pass a background check directed by the TAMIU Police Department

  • LUNCH If you wish to have lunch with your child you are welcomed to do so. There are a couple of rules that must be followed to do this. You must notify the Classroom Manager when you arrive For safety reasons you will not be allowed to sit with the rest of the campers, so you will need to sit separate from them. You must return the child to the Classroom Manager.

  • Classroom Managers Each classroom will have Roster Radio Contact Information Bracelets Kinder Camp 2 Elementary Camp 1 st & 2 nd = 3 3 rd & 4 th = 1 5 th & 6 th = 1 Middle School 1

  • Lifeguards We will have two lifeguards at the pool in addition to the classroom managers. The pool is four feet deep CE will not provide flotation devices to the campers. We recommend that if your child NEEDS one that you provide him/her with the device. They can also bring cards games and play indoors if they would like. Designated classroom.

  • Volunteers Duties Volunteers will help in the following ways: Assist teachers and teacher assistants in keeping children orderly Clean rooms after activities Picking up trash Cleaning the lunch area after lunch and snacks Help campers with activities Volunteers will NOT perform the duties of a Classroom Manager at any point in time.

  • In Case of Emergencies We have designated evacuation areas: Student Center will evacuate to the Lamar Bruni Vergara Memorial Garden Residential Learning Center Pool will evacuate to: Northeast Softball Field If we are to be taken off campus will contact the parents and update the Facebook page as well as email parents once weve arrived at the destination.
