Sketching is a skill that provides the designer a freedom to put ideas
on paper. In short their ideas get shape through sketching.
Students learned:
Basic differences between sketch, drawing, graphic and painting
Gone through Basic warm exercises
Sketching as a tool of communication
Done timed sketching
They did object sketching and field trip sketching.
Students learn to:
understand a small single spaces with single and multiple uses – methodology is graphical presentation
To understand activity/space relationship, programme and spatial organization, understanding of functionalities-circulation, movement, transition, hierarchy of spaces etc.
Students are working on Design of play house

Creating various combination of relationships between 4 elements, using visual perception and expression
Visual organization and perception of spaces through element
Enhance visual perception and observations by developing freehand drawing skills with different techniques, tools and media

Focuses:
•Understanding of the principles and practical applications of drawings using software as drawing tools

• Highlights and shadow are the brightest and darkest parts of a scene or image.
The shadow length depends on the angle of the source of light.
One feels relaxed with the shadow formed by our lamp. It gives a deep feeling.
Model is based on the continuity concept.
Also light and shadow play an important role in this design.
Here different sized circular and oval shapes (stones) are joint together in a cuboid form which creates negative spaces. When we put light inside the cuboid, light is emitted through negative spaces which creates different patterns in shadows.
Here negative spaces means cut-outs are of different sizes and shapes so that we can observe different big and small sized patterns created in shadows.
Applied Spiritual theme for shadow and light to design this lamp
•Concept : Continuity
•From cube concept of diagonal (Squares) we created circle from small to large in rhythm way.
•Different types of colour shadow in our Model
•It Gives a dancing Light effect an also look like a traditional colours.

•To make products using wood and wood based materials

Focuses: •Inquiry into the historical events as being instrumental in bringing changes in design and understanding the design process.
•Understanding how historical landmark events have a bearing on architecture and consequently on interior design.
•Abstract art in 19th, 20th and 21st centuries
•Design efficiency in terms of movement pattern, relationships between display, storage and sales exploring customer – owner behavioral pattern, efficiency in function and activities.
•Basic understanding of construction techniques and sequence.
