Hello St. Bede School!

Can you believe we have been in school long enough for a 4th PA newsletter? Me either – this year is going by

quickly already! This is going to be the last reminder of where to find school information: Please stay up to

date by checking the PA website, Saint Bede School Facebook Page, and be on the look out for SignUps at

SignUp.com.

“Must Know” bullet points (All links are below or can be found on the PA tabs of the school website):

• New families are invited to have a pizza party in the gym on 9/19/19 from 6-8 in the gym

• Our first bake sale is getting ready to kick off with grades: K, 3, and 8 – Flyer and signup attached!

• We will be starting monthly coffee dates on the 3rd Thursday of every month starting in October

• Halloween Hustle and Our Lady of the Lake Gala are coming up! Registrations are attached

• Needs: EVENT CHAIRS & SHADOW CHAIRS – please see below. If we don’t have leadership for these

events, they will be cancelled.

PA MEETING NOTES:

We had a bit of a wild ride at our PA meeting this past week due to all the storms. Thank you to those who

were able to make it and braved the weather to stay with us.

Highlights from the meeting include:

• We will be running a contest for Box Tops in October – we want to collect the rest of the clipped box

tops and get those sent in! Please help by getting your Box Tops ready, and watch for details to come.

• We are working on finalizing Falcon Night Outs for November and December – more information to

come

• Market Day is slowly getting off the ground, and we will be releasing information as it becomes

available

• We will be voting in changes to our Bylaws in October

CELEBRATIONS:

• We are starting to fill some of our vacant event chairs – but we still need more! There is room for you

to lend your talents to our school!

• We had about 50 families submit recipes for the first ever St. Bede School Cookbook – the layout is

beginning to come together. If you did not get a recipe in, please contact Sam Harris ASAP!

• As of this writing, we have 10,095 points (about 4000 more than last week!!) and Heather Johnson is the

one to beat! We have crossed the $10 mark and are moving to the $20 mark!

• Box Tops: We are up to $27.40 for our school with the app! Almost double of what we had last week!

UPCOMING EVENTS AND CONTESTS:

• Watch for communication from your room parents in your child’s backpack! Classroom funds, Gala

baskets, contact information and more are being collected. If you need additional information, please

• Sweatshirts and our BRAND NEW tumblers are in stock. Please send in the form below with

payment (checks made to St. Bede PA). Thank you Ms. Caron for filling these orders!

• Box Tops has changed! Download the Box Tops App on your phone and scan receipts! No more

clipping!!!

• Our First Bake Sale is almost here! September 21-22, at St. Bede Worship Site. Kindergarten, 3rd

grade, and 8th grade families will be in charge. Please bring 2 baked goods per student and/or volunteer

at one mass – 30 min before and 30 min after (sign up for (2) 30 min slots). If that does not work for

you, opt out by sending in $15. All funds from bake sales help to fund our end of year

picnic/celebration as well as 8th grade festivities.

If you are looking for ways to get your 20 mandatory service hours in, meet other parents, and help support the school

or parish, we have got something for you!

1 Halloween Hustle – October 26, 2019 We have an immediate need for help during the

event on 10/26. Please visit

www.stbedeschoolhh.com and click the Volunteer

page. Or walk/run in the event and spend the

morning with other St. Bede families!

2 Golf Outing – August 29, 2020 We are looking for 2020 committee members.

This includes planning, getting sponsorships, and

working the outing. Please contact Carrie Madden

or Karrie Frum.

3 Book Fairs Book Fairs are scheduled in the Fall, Winter and

Spring. We need assistance with helping kids

Preview books and during the sale. Please contact

Lauren Schultz or Adriane Dulan.

4 Trivia/Kid’s Night planning We are in need of an event chair and committee

for Trivia Night/Kids’ Night Out (date planned for

2/21/19). We are looking for new ideas for the

Kid’s Night.

5 Holiday Shoppe Kids get to be in charge of Christmas shopping for

their families! We need volunteers to work the

event in early December. Please contact Erin

Baumgardner for more information. **We need a

shadow chair**

6 Baking Have a gift for baking? In addition to our bake

sales where each class is assigned a Bake Sale

date, we also often need bakers for teacher and

school events. Please look for requests via email

from the PA.

7 Box Tops We continue to collect Box Tops and are always

in need of counting/sorting. The program is going

digital, download the app and scan receipts – tell

your family and friends to mark St. Bede School!

8 Parent Ambassadors Our Parent Ambassadors are here to establish

connections with one another and the outside

community. Please contact Michelle Cerasani or

Heather Johnson for more information!

9 Falcon Night Outs Please join us for these every month or two. We

love to see families get together! All proceeds go

to the Support our School fund. If you have a

recommendation that offers a percentage back, or

are interested in coordinating a night, please let

Samantha Harris know!

10 Drama Needs Our Drama club will host a production in Spring
