Bearing (4 req)• Pivot Pin (4 req)• End Block (2 req)• C Clips (8 req)

BarWhat type of materials?

Do a quick sketch ofThe bars. What can be used for bearings?Check out McMaster Carr or Grainger online for bearings that would fit. Can you download an inventor file or drawing of the bearing? Do so if available.

What type of material is the pin made out off?

What do the + and – signs mean with numbers? Be able to explain the tolerances of the parts.

What is the importance of tolerances?

How does it effect the bottom line?

What material is the block made out of for the parallelogram?

What do you think the clips are made out of and are they available on line?Find them if available and record the specs for the clips (material, price, properties, note vendor).

What does “ customer to modify end blocks” mean?

What is a bill of materials? Note the assembly drawing to the right complete with a parts list. Yours should also have a parts list.
