I love doodling, and Laura Williams Doodled Feathers Love card is a great example of how simple doodling can be. A few lines and squiggles is all it takes, and I love that it looks like stitching!

Hello Smart Phone Cardby Jennifer Ingle

This cute and oh-so-clever card is one of my favorites because it bridges the technology gap in giving a handmade card within our increasingly electronic world. It also got a double like from my tween daughter when she saw it, so it MUST be awesome!

    -Jennifer Schaerer

Floral Hey There Card by Emily Branch

This card shows how the little details can really make a card. Notice the soft two-tone stamped owers and foliage, the pinked washi tape, sequins, and thread, plus that rounded corner with patterned paper behind; this is a gorgeously designed card!

    -Holly Anderson

Peace, Love, & Joy Card by Alice Wertz

Check this out: Alice die-cut multiples of the word joy and adhered them together to create a thick word. She then stamped it with a music staff and repeated that design on the card using different colors and second generation stamping. Truly brought joy to my day!

    -Stacy Croninger

Floral Zigzag Hello Card by Amanda Coleman

This trendy card is so simple to re-create, but it looks like something you could nd at a chic boutique. A fresh color combination, bold ower, and graphic print all blend harmoniously in this delightful card. And those sequins? Just like sprinkles on top of the perfect cupcake.

    -Susan Opel

Earthy Thanks a Bunch Card by Mandy LaCroix

BasicGreys Persimmon collection was one of my favorites from the fall season, so when I saw this card, I immediately loved it. Mandys use of blue staples, die-cut cork, and embossed woodgrain are just the right touches when coupled with this collection.

    -Kerri Miller

Lisas photos took center stage on her layout by using a variety of sizes, matting a few, and overlapping them. You can also see her childrens emotions and relationships, which allowed her to not only preserve a memory, but also capture their sweet personalities.

Sparks * **** CreativityCreativity**ofp**While I love fall, the traditional fall color palette does not come naturally to me. When I saw this leaf illustration, my mind over owed with possibilities for how it could be translated into card designs. I used the color palette and the concept of combining different leaves as a starting place to stretch my creativity. The end result is totally different from my usual fun & cute style, but I am equally thrilled with how it turned out!

Gold is a trend that is not going anywhere! This Gold Foil Paper from Fancy Pants Designs feels just like patterned paper, but with a beautiful metallic shine. It can be cut with die templates and even be embossed. On this card, I used the Gold Foil Paper to create my own sentiment with my die-cutting machine and accents with a basic hole punch.

Die-cut inlay is my favorite go-to technique when using specialty papers or any other materials that have a white exposed edge. Think of it as a puzzle project with as many steps as you would like to add. This technique allows you to hide the raw edges of material and gives you a smooth streamlined effect. I also like the subtle effect of die-cutting a shape into your base and adding the same cuts back into the pieces for a tone-on-tone look.

The watercolor trend is bigger than ever, and I just love the look. It can be a little intimidating, however, if youre like me and dont have a lot of skill with a paintbrush. Watercolor pencils are the perfect solution. Just color your design, and when blended with water the pigment turns into gorgeous watercolor. A re llable water brush pen will give you even more control and help you create beautiful watercolor designs!

When Im stuck in a creative rut, I look for ways to add texture and dimension to my paper crafting projects. I was recently introduced to a brand new steel die that creates a 3D bow shape in a single run of my manual die cutter. I am a sucker for ingenious products like this die! It not only die-cuts paper and cardstock, but effortlessly cuts through my favorite felt. And the best part? Only one piece of material to work with. Fun and easy!

I love die-cutting shapes from the center of other die cuts, and I can easily do it all in one step using the Sizzix Magnetic Platform. It holds wafer-thin dies right in place without having to tape them. For this card, I arranged the pinked rectangle, tree, and sentiment dies and ran them through my Big Shot all at once. It came out perfectly on the rst try!

Shuf in Card Designer: May Sukyong Park Culver City, CA, USA

WHAT WE LOVED:Inventive is the name of the game with this unbelievably cool and funky card! May slaved over making the equalizer at the bottom of her card with even widths of colorful washi. Her follow-through on the theme of this card, with the appropriate sentiment and heat embossed record, is the icing on the cake.

How R U Card Designer: Miriam Prantner Arlington, VA, USA

Beautiful Ride Card Designer: Iwona Palamountain Sunbury, Victoria, Australia

WHAT WE LOVED:What sets Iwonas card apart is her inventive take on the bike icon. Those washi-covered wheels take us for a whimsical ride. We also appreciated her expertise in lining up the patterns on the tape strips before die-cutting them. Even the rolling hills that ground her design are washi tape.

Celebrate Today Card Designer: Asty Purbasari Jakarta, Indonesia

WHAT WE LOVED:Washi-wrapped wood veneer stars, little strips above the sentiment and at the bottom right, and two layered strips of washi beneath a die-cut sentiment make for a truly unique washi masterpiece. The angled design and muted color palette set Astys design apart.

WHAT WE LOVED:Feathers are in, and the feathers on this card are made from patterned washi tape, giving Amys card that ooh-la-la factor. Gather the handmade feathers into a bouquet and anchor it with a stylish gold sentiment for a stunning and extraordinary design.

You Totally Rock Card Designer: Kristie LarsenSingapore

WHAT WE LOVED:Kristie used negative space to her advantage on this energetic card! The white sun ray die corrals the bursts of colorful washi tape, making this an exciting design for a teen or anyone full of life. Put simply, this card totally rocks!

Popsicle Stick Hello Card Designer: Jill Dewey Hawkins Westmont, IL, USA

WHAT WE LOVED:Jills washi-wrapped Popsicle sticks steal the show! The random yet deliberate wrapping adds a punch of fun and whimsy, all set on a clean white backdrop. Dont miss her perfect details: the scored lines behind the color (for interest), the monochromatic frame (for depth), and the delightful stitching (for balance and texture).

For Lovely You Card Designer: Keren Baker Liverpool, United Kingdom

WHAT WE LOVED:The delicacy of Kerens design caught our eye. Youll notice that her garland is made of washi tape that has been punched and sandwiched over embroidery thread. Simple strips of sparkle add to this sophisticated design.

Celebrate With Style Card Designer: Tessa WiseWoodbridge, VA, USA

WHAT WE LOVED:Tessa took bits of washi tape and randomly layered them on a piece of cardstock. What may have started as utter chaos morphed into a stylish bow once die-cut. Tessa gave the washi bow center stage with a tting sentiment and delightful nishing touches like the doilyand the tiny stamped gold stars.

Colorful Doilies Card Designer: Jo ReynoldsTownsville, Queensland, Australia

WHAT WE LOVED:The traditional doily gets a makeover with a pinwheel of layered washi tape. Set on a dark background and accented with sequins and a saturated sentiment, Jo achieves a stunning look.

You & Me Card Designer: Jaclyn Miller Indianapolis, IN, USA

WHAT WE LOVED:The angles. The color choices. The glitz. This card oozes with class. By con ning the torn bits of washi tape to one part of the card, Jaclyn pulls off a clean and graphic card bursting with style.
