Pantech Group started as a partnership in 1987, supplying industrial hardware and machinery to the Southern region of Peninsular Malaysia. Known then as Pantech Hardware and Machinery Trading (PHMT), it operated out of a rented shop lot in Johor Bahru. Approximately a year later, on 29 November 1988, the partnership progressed to become a private limited company.

The period 1987-1997 was an opportune time for Pantech as it was an era of buoyant economic growth in Malaysia that was powered by industrialisation and export of manufactured goods. The Pasir Gudang area in Johor became a major hub for petrochemical, chemical, oleochemical, palm oil refining, marine, onshore and offshore heavy engineering and fabrication service industries. The opportunities that opened up and the fast-growing market saw Pantech evolving to meet the demand for high pressure steel pipes, fittings, flanges, valves and other structural steel products. On 2 November 1998, the company was renamed to Pantech Corporation Sdn Bhd to better reflect this core business.

IntroductionCustomers came to recognise Pantech’s consistency and reliability in providing quality products and services. And the award of ISO 9001:2000 certification by Lloyd’s Register in 2003 further validated Pantech’s commitment to quality and continuous development.

In the process, Pantech’s business grew beyond trading and Malaysian shores. Offering integrated solutions with industry experience and expertise while upholding core values have led to Pantech being a preferred One-Stop Center for pipes, valves and fittings (PVF).

Charting another milestone, Pantech Group listed on Bursa Malaysia on 15 February 2007, twenty years after starting business as a humble trading house.

The Trading Division supplies and stocks various pipes, fittings, flanges, valves and other fluid transmission related products. Sourced from various reputable suppliers around the world and own manufacturing division, the Trading Division of Pantech Group operates through 3 companies with warehouses in PKFZ, Shah Alam, Kuantan, Pasir Gudang, Singapore and Tamworth, United Kingdom - all located strategically near industrial hubs and shipping ports.

The Manufacturing division comprises 3 wholly-owned subsidiaries in Malaysia and United Kingdom, each producing specific ranges of pipes and fittings to customers’ requirements.

Today, it functions as a subsidiary of Pantech Group but remains just as steadfastly customer-focused as when it started.

With quality and reliability as the company’s cornerstone, Pantech Corporation is recognised as the leading stockist and project management specialist in high pressure steel piping in Malaysia.

In Pantech’s inventory are extensive ranges of products from Europe, USA and Japan:• Carbon, stainless and mild steel pipes, valves, fittings, flanges, and structural steels and plates• Low-temperature carbon and high alloy steel products• Corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant items

To optimise this role of a total solutions provider, the Pantech’s trading activities are streamlined and integrated with the Group’s southern manufacturing and warehousing onto one main address in Johor, along with a corporate office.

Pantech Corporation Sdn BhdBased in Singapore, Panaflo supplies complete flow control systems and services some of the largest marine and offshore industries in Asia. Panaflo has strong partnerships with key manufacturers and represents world renowned brands to offer a diverse range of valves, actuators and controls.

Panaflo’s specialty is Quarter-turn Actuated Valve packages and Controls.

The strength of Panaflo lies the team’s in-depth knowledge, and dedicated technical support team. Specialised valve testing and repair is a major part of Panaflo’s services. With an in-house workshop and a team of well-trained technicians, Panaflo can rebuild, test (including seat air and hydrostatic tests), inspect and certify valves and actuation packages. Customers requiring valve automation products can tap into Panaflo’s start-up application assistance as well as on-going repair and replacement services.


Pantech Steel is the first of the 3 manufacturing companies to be established in year 2000. Located in Klang, Selangor, Pantech Steel deploys the latest technology to produce High Frequency Induction Long Bends and butt-welded carbon steel fittings such as elbows, tees, reducers and end-caps.

For fittings, our production range is from 1/2” to 36” of Schedule 20, 30, 40, STD, XS, 80, 120, 160 to XXS wall thickness. All our fittings conform to ASTM A234 WPB & ASME B16.90. We also have the capability to produce WPL6 and WPHY fittings.

For High Frequency Induction Long Bends, our production capability is from 2” to 40”, and the bending radius is from 3D to 7.5 metres and other customised radius.

Pantech Steel adheres to the strictest quality standards and holds several international certifications, among which are ISO 9001:2008 and Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) from Lloyd’s Register. Pantech Steel also has the Canadian Registration Number (CRN) issued by Canada and is approved by Abu Dhabi Oil Refinery Company (Takreer).

We have managed to establish strong brand recognition in both the domestic and international markets. Our export markets include North, Central and South America, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Pipes Bending by High Frequency Induction Long BendsPantech Steel has the capability to supply quality long bends of various materials: carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, duplex, super duplex, cladded and special materials.

Our High Frequency Induction Long Bends have been rated and have gained the confidence of customers in power plants, offshore and onshore refineries, petrochemical, shipbuilding, oil and gas pipelines, architecture and construction industries.

In 2010, Pantech Stainless & Alloy Industries (PSA) was established in Pasir Gudang in Johor, Malaysia as a dedicated company to produce stainless steel pipes and fittings. Outfitted with state-of-the-art technology, PSA is a highly automated plant that manufactures products to ASTM/ASME/ANSI specifications to cater to the demand for exceptionally corrosion resistant items.

For stainless steel pipes, PSA has the capability to produce with materials 304/304L and 316/316L and thickness of SCH 5S, SCH 10S, SCH 20, SCH 30, SCH 40S and others; welded pipes with diameter sizes of 1/2” to 16”.

For fittings, PSA specialises in butt-welded and seamless stainless steel fittings of 1/2" to 12” and customized sizes.

PSA also produces, stocks and supplies solutions for flat bar (cut-to-length), pipe nipple and other heat and high corrosion resistant alloy materials.

Corrosion resistant pipes and fittings from PSA are widely accepted by the oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries for use in refineries, processing plants, water treatment plants, and onshore and offshore heavy engineering. PSA also supplies to other industries such as pulp and paper, pharmaceutical and shipbuilding.

Pantech Stainless & Alloy Industries Sdn Bhd Nautic Steels joined Pantech Group’s fold in 2012, bringing with it more than 35 years

of experience and expertise in the manufacture of piping solutions for marine, offshore and hazardous environments.

Located in Tamworth, near Birmingham, United Kingdom, Nautic Steels is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company and is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pipes, fittings, flanges and ancillary equipment with material grades of nickel alloys, copper nickel 90/10 and 70/30, austenitic stainless steels, 6Mo, duplex and super duplex. Our products are widely used in oil and gas, onshore, offshore, chemical and petrochemical, marine and shipbuildings, defence industries and seawater systems including fire water, desalination and water cooling plants.

Beside our excellent manufacturing capability, extensive knowledge and experience, we are also constantly improving and expanding our product range by investing in research and development (R&D) in order to be relevant to industry demand.

Nautic Steels is certified to manufacture nickel alloy fittings to Norsok M650 standard. Our products are well accepted in major oil and gas, marine & shipyard companies such as Adma, Aramco, Petronas, Petrobras, Qatar Petroleum, Zadco and others.

Comprehensive Product Range

All welds are 100% radiographically inspected to ASME code, Section VIII UW51.

All procedures are qualified to ASME IX, generally Lloyd’s Register EMEA approval, giving a comprehensive range of materials.

All personnel engaged in welding are qualified to ASME IX, these are checked and approved when required. Welding process used are T.I.G. and M.M.A.

Welding Procedures and Specifications

Stocking more than 30,000 product items of various sizes, grades, types, category and brand names, Pantech Group is prepared to meet the diverse pipes, valves, fittings, flanges and flow controls requirements of various industries.

Positive Material Identification and various NDE such as Magnetic Particle Examination, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Radiography Examination and Ultrasonic Test can be provided in-house or via approved third party test companies.
