Dear Members of the Indianapolis Alumnae Panhellenic:

W hat a wonderful year for IAP! How do I begin to express my sincere appreciation to the wonderful Board and members for this great year?

Our fall meeting was exciting, interesting and so well attended. The speaker was super, lunch yummy and the decorations beautiful. Thank you to Shari Vickery and her committee for this lovely and successful meeting. December’s Annual Holiday Auction found the group raising more money than ever for the Butler University Community Outreach Pharmacy. The Meridian Street United Methodist Church was a perfect setting to start the Christmas season. Once again Donna Burgard and Margy Moorhead were co-chairs. Thank you to them for their many efforts and to their most able committee for this special event.

January found Chair Margaret Herder and her committee hosting the Butler University Recruitment dinner. It was heartwarming and encouraging to meet and greet the Greek leaders of the future. Margaret and her committee provid-ed a great comfort-food dinner with the fun country decorations.

Lu Hesler and her committee opened the beautiful Kappa Alpha Theta National Headquarters for the February meeting. Many members had not been there and remarked on the Headquarters’ beauty and wonderful Theta collection of memorabilia.

The spring Annual Tasters Luncheon held at the Delta Gamma House at Butler University was another success for IAP. Spring had to be right around the cor-ner as Susan DeVoss, Chair, with Shari Vickery, Assistant Chair, and the IAP committee served yummy food at this two-seating fundraiser.

It is sad to think the Kappa Kappa Gamma year of leadership will be drawing to a close May 14, 2013, at the home of Sally Barrett. It is exciting that Kristen Spriggs will be the next President representing Delta Gamma.

With special thanks to all, this year was exciting, successful and eventful.

T he IAP Annual Holiday Auction event, held on December 4th at Merid-ian Street United Meth-

odist Church, raised record pro-ceeds for the Butler University Community Outreach Pharmacy (BUCOP). A check for $1,800 was present-ed to BUCOP board members on the Saturday before Christmas by Jamia Jacobsen, Donna Burgard and Margy Moor-head. This student-run organization is housed out of the Neighborhood Fellowship Church on East 10th Street. Their mission is to provide free pharmacy/medical services to

In addition to the tea and festivities, each member frater-nity will create a display reflect-ing its own history. We are also reaching out to past presidents of IAP to capture their memories of Panhellenic. "Moments in History" continue at IAP meetings as one or two groups offer quick glimpses into their founding and early years. IAP delegates serve in rotation for the of-ficer roles in order of their organization’s entrance into NPC. Each group serves a 5-year commitment to rotate through all the offices (3rd VP, 2nd VP, 1st VP, President, and Council Advisor). However, the same delegate is not required for the entire 5-year period. The next few years of rotation schedule are listed above to assist your group in planning for dele-gates. It is helpful for incoming delegates to participate in IAP the year or two prior to assuming office.
