BRAND HISTORYJoshua Scott Onysko, Founder & President, made his first batch of soap (Oatmeal Love) with his mother as a bonding project before he set out to travel the world in his early twenties. He shared the bar soap with people he met during his travels and everyone loved it!

A survey of 2,300 people conducted as a part of the Environmental Working Groups research shows that the average adult is exposed to 126 unique chemical ingredients in an average of 9 products each day before breakfast!

It’s possible to be exposed to multiple pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, phthalates, petro-chemicals, fragrances (may contain up to 400 different chemicals), FD&C dyes, chemical surfactants, detergents, anti-bacterial additives, and synthetic preservatives multiple times on a daily basis. We can be exposed to these potential toxins through our food, water, hair care, cosmetics, body and skincare, cleaning products, and lawn care products.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: How does this exposure affect our health long-term? COSMETIC SAFETY LAWS

Many Americans have an ingrained idea that if it is allowed to be sold in stores, it must be safe. The reality is that the FDA does not currently require health studies or pre-market testing for cosmetic products before they are sold. The Cosmetics Ingredients Review (CIR) Board is the industry’s self-policing safety panel. The group meets to review ingredients and compile reports on average 4 times per year. You may view safety reports on their website: www.cir-safety.org Analysis by the Environmental Working Group found that in its 30-year history, the CIR has reviewed the safety of around 11% of the 10,500 ingredients used in personal care products. WILD PLUM BLEND

Pangea’s Wild Plum Blend harnesses the remarkable antioxidant power of three select aboriginal Plum extracts from countless, exotic Australian resources to deliver balancing, nutrient-rich and revitalizing benefits to combination and oily skin types. WILLOW

White Willow Bark, Salix Alba, is a common tree in wetlands and near watercourses. It contains a high amount of salicylic acid (a natural beta hydroxy acid used in aspirin) and mild antimicrobial constituents. Salicylic acid works by causing the cells of the epidermis to slough off more easily, helping to prevent pore congestion and allowing room for new cell growth. Salix Alba is a useful ingredient in skincare in which pore congestion and acne are an issue. In addition, Willow naturally and effectively supports skin clarity while helping to calm redness.________________________________________________________________________________

BENEFITS

Combination to oily skin requires a little extra love. Too much cleansing can lead to an oil backlash while a lack of oil control leaves us vulnerable to build up. We’ve formulated a pure lather from sugar-based cleansing agents and Yucca extract to thoroughly cleanse the skin while respecting its delicate pH. This luscious lather is infused with a triple fruit complex of Wild Plum extracts to purify, refresh and protect your complexion while Willowherb works to maintain skin clarity. DIRECTIONS

ARGAN OIL

The Argania tree, also known as the Moroccan Ironwood tree, is a thorny evergreen tree native to southwestern Morocco and grown for its plum-sized fruits. Highly esteemed oil is found inside the fruit’s large seeds. The seeds are pressed to obtain Argan oil, an expensive and highly useful cooking oil with a nutty flavor. Argan oil is very emollient (similar to peanut oil, but without the allergen) and rich in naturally occurring antioxidants such as flavonoids and tocopherols that have anti-inflammatory properties. In fact, it contains 56 mg/Kg of polyphenols, double the amount of tocopherols (620 mg/Kg) than olive oil (320 mg/Kg), and linoleic acid comprises 34% of its total fatty acid content.
