Dr. Jared ClevelandDeputy Superintendent for Personnel804 W. Johnson AveSpringdale, AR 72764Dear Dr. ClevelandPlease consider me as an applicant for the art teaching positions currently posted on your website. I have researched the area and have made a point to check for employment opportunities in your fine school district. I relocated to the area last year and I am currently under a one year contract with the Springdale School District. As the attached resume indicates, I am currently teaching art at five different elementary schools in the Springdale School District where I work with a diverse student population in grades one through five. I just recently was named Teacher of the Year for Parson Hills Elementary School. Prior to this teaching assignment I taught at Avon Grove High School in West Grove Pennsylvania. I also worked with a diverse group of students in this district, grades nine through twelve. I have taught classes in AP Art History, beginning drawing, figure drawing, ceramics, sculpture, painting and other media. My experiences include developing an engaging curriculum for each of the above classes including piloting a Chromebook program for the art history class, managing a budget, ordering and promoting the arts in our community. I have experience with all ages by volunteering at afterschool arts programs for elementary ages and student taught at the Middle School level. I am particularly interested in your posted opening because of the opportunity to teach at the high school level which I have ten years experience with that age group. Thank you for your consideration.Sincerely,Pamela J. Lock
