Greetings Ladies,
Thank you
Cleo Banfi for rec-
ommending Ken
Seymour of Crime vs Seniors for
our last meeting. If anyone has a
speaker they would like to recom-
mend please contact me with the
information.
The Card Party was a lot of fun and
well attended. Thank you Diane
Gleissner for chairing and as al-
ways putting on a wonderful event.
I can’t believe Christmas is already
here. I love this time of year,
watching my granddaughter get so
excited over the lights and decora-
tions, to be able to see Christmas
through a child’s eyes. We will be
having our Christmas Dinner/
Meeting for the Ladies Auxiliary
on December 14, doors will open at
5:30 and dinner will be served at
6:15. If you would like to come,
leave a check for $15.00 in the La-
dies Auxiliary mailbox, please indi-
cate on envelope Christmas Dinner,
no later than December 7.Checks
will be returned to you the night of
the dinner, unfortunately id you do
not come we have to keep the
check to cover the cost of the food.
The Lodge Officers will be our
servers. Please try to make the din-
ner/meeting, we will be voting on
Hi Folks,
The Holidays are upon us and we should keep in
mind the giving aspect of the season. In particular, the
Toys for Tots Drive, by the Marine Corps. So, when
you stop by the Lodge for some “Holiday Cheer” and or
a bite to eat bring an unwrapped gift to add to the “Toys for Tots” boxes
in the lounge. Thank you in advance for helping make some child’s
Christmas a little nicer.
New Year’s Eve tickets are still available. Remember there is an
Open Bar all evening in addition to the champagne toast. The menu of
Lobster Tail and Prime Rib is outstanding and the seven piece band is
back by popular demand. The administrators sell the tickets each week-
day from 9 AM to 12 Noon and an officer can sell you a ticket any time.
Get your friends together and get your tickets now before you miss out
on a fantastic time.
During this holiday season we will be out more and more in the
public domain with more folks we don’t know than those we do know.
Be aware of those around you. Give everyone around you a good look.
If you see something or someone that is not right inform someone in au-
thority of the situation. Take care of each other. Remember Self De-
fense is a God given right. Profiling is NOT discriminatory. Profiling
is Common Sense!!!

Mark your calendars, our Annual
Elks Memorial Service will be held
will be held on Saturday,
December 5th at 8:00 a.m.
This service is in special
recognition of our fellow Elks who
passed away during the past twelve
months, and honor all of the Elks
during our 144 years who no longer
answer when their name is called. It is a very moving ceremony
sure to be worth your time; in addition to the families of the
deceased, all Elks and their families are welcome to attend.
This year we will once again feature the member “memory
table”. You are encouraged to bring a framed 5x7 or 8x10
picture of your member spouse (or father/mother).
This service is open to the public. Please feel free to bring
friends and family. A continental breakfast will be served
following the service. ~ Lou Barletta

Veterans Committee *** REQUEST ***
Thanks to all of your clothing donations, the Emery L. Bennett Veterans Nursing Home has informed us that they
now have enough clothing to supply the veterans under their care. Therefore the Palm Coast Elks, will temporarily
suspend the clothing drive until we are asked to resume donations. The director at ELB that the lodge interfaces
with stated, “That our disabled Veterans would appreciate it, if we could provide Branch of service hats
and shirts - Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard & Marines, and no particular sizes.”
As you may know, Emery L. Bennett Veterans Home is our Lodge's adopted veteran’s facility. All donated new
hats and shirts will be delivered to ELB by a lodge member so that they have them in time for Veterans Day
11/11/2015.
The Past Exalted Rulers Association will be holding its Winter Raffle to support
our Florida Harry-Anna Trust which funds the Florida Elks Youth Camp and the
Children’s Therapy service and the National Elks foundation. The foundation funds
our Children’s Scholarship programs. These are two tax exempt organizations that
will split the proceeds of the Christmas Raffle after expenses like mailing and ticket
supplies. First prize is $1,000, second prize is $500, and third is $250.
This month you can expect to receive 2 tickets for the Raffle. The tickets are only
$5.00 each. So for only 10 bucks you could have 10 crisp new $100.00 Dollar bills to
spend.

Christmas is the time of year when we celebrate the birth of Christ, and when our thoughts turn to family and
friends, anticipating good will, social gatherings, gifts and the great foods of the holiday season. It’s a won-
derful time of year for every Lodge to show its “Elks Pride and Community Focus” by being a beacon of
hope for the community and showing that Elks live and Elks give from the heart.
If you have been waiting for just the right opportunity to get more involved in your Lodge, the holidays are
the perfect time to get started. There is so much going on at your Lodge, and there will certainly be some-
thing that you will enjoy! Why not step forward to participate in the holiday activities at your Lodge or join
with other Members in a community service program to help bring a smile to the face of a Veteran or a child,
or to assist someone in need? Your efforts will be greatly appreciated, and will fill your heart with the true joy of
the holiday season, increase your pride in membership and may even spark a desire to become more involved and active at your
Lodge.
In addition, this is a great time of year to attract new Members by showing how “Elks Care – Elks Share.” As we advance and
strengthen our presence in our communities, we also introduce our friends and neighbors to Elkdom and prove ourselves a reliable
community partner. Through our enthusiastic volunteer service, we are able to put a face on our Lodges, encourage others to learn
more about the Elks, who we are and what we do, and increase the opportunities for new Members to join our Order.
Nancy and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, a wonderful holiday season and a safe and happy New Year.
