Palliative Care Student Curriculum: Goal

Through empathic experiences with patients, families, and providers, students will demonstrate leadership and interprofessional teamwork in the provision of palliative care and/or in the establishment or furthering of palliative care initiatives in their rotation site and within that rural community.

A Different Kind of Rotation

• Learner-centered, learner-directed• Students design a rotation based on their:– Health profession– Stage of educational development– Rotation requirements of their school or college– Palliative care services offered at the rotation site– Personal experiences and goals

• Individual design of learning activities and assessment
