Historical Westminster & Paletteers Art Club
June 8 - 9 to 5:00 PM
Location:73rd and Orchard
A sign up sheet will be their Monday night for artist tovolunteer to be there for the Festival.
This is an opportunity for us to get out in the community and tell people about our club and to workwith kids. We will be doing an easy hands on art project. We can have our brochures there to hand out to interested people. Volunteers are needed for Set- up, working the booth in 2 hour shifts and clean-up. Wear your Paletteers shirt if you have one.

Rules for Paletteers rotating and annualexhibits:
•Paintings must be properly wired on the back using picture wire and D-rings. NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS or clips!!•Paintings with damage to the frame, matting or glass will not be allowed.•Label the back of each painting with artist’s name, title, medium, price.•Fill out Paletteers cards before check-in and attach them to the front of paintings. Cards are available at meetings and at check-in.•Gallery wrapped paintings must have a minimum side depth of 1 to 1-1/2 inches. Staplesmust be on the back, and sides must be painted and finished.•Prices and titles are assumed to be final. If changes are needed, contact the exhibit coordinator *Paletteers Artists must send a check for sales tax, sales noting location, to the Paletteers Treasurer (Larry Lindgren).

President’s Report Jan Gibson welcomed four new members who were juried into the club April 3rd. They are Ellie Moskowitz, Andrea Hoffmeister, Merilee Menard and Sue LeRette. New member Connie Ruel missed the club jurying. Jan said they maybe could work something out. (Orientation and Jurying times are April and October according to the Paletteers Bylaws.)Treasurer’s Report:Larry read the bank balances for the month

KH Member News: Linden Kirby and wife will be travelling to Italy with artist Janet Nunn sponsored by the PH Martin Hydrous Watercolors. Linden announced he is going to tryand blog his painting trip in June. His website is Art by Linden.com. (As mentioned before, his demo is in August.)

Broomfield Art Guild is having “Wonderful World of Mini!” Open Show, 4/12 deadline
Adams Co. Fair: Ed Hansen encouraged artists to get their volunteer paperwork in and paint for the show. Paletteers sponsors the Open Art Show. There are many media categories including photography and sculpture. There are ribbons and cash prizes. Kids can enter art in the youth category. Dates for the fair this year are July 31st Wednesday – August 4th, Sunday.
