The latest News Bulletin of PakTurk International Schools & Colleges is in your hands. We feel a great pleasure to meet you with new venues and projects. With the recently opened branches in Rawalpindi and Quetta, the total number of PakTurk branches in Pakistan has reached to 24 now. We hope that these branches will open more avenues towards a bright future for the youth of Pakistan.

We start the new year with the interactive white-board compatible, electronic versions of the pre-school textbooks, which were published and issued to young learners last year. PakTurk Little Hearts Pre-Schools across Pakistan effectively use these books. With these smart books, our students will feel themselves quite comfortable with the modern technology.

The 200 Essentials, a unique reading project, entered into its second year and the students’ involvement shows how warmly this project has been received. Attainment targets for reading has reached past 80%, a very encouraging rate. With effect from this academic year, we enhance the scope of this project by online comprehension quizzes to be taken by the students after reading the prescribed books. The successful students will be awarded with attractive prizes. We believe that these quizzes will not only help students learn but also encourage them in a constructively competitive environment.

PakTurk has started offering the popular

Editorial

career counseling survey; Strong Interest Inventory®. We use Strong® to help our high school students to discover their  interests. They can then use this information to assist with career and educational decision-making. We trust that with these reports, the students will feel confident while taking any decisions for their career planning.

Under Oxford Quality School project, Teachers’ Development Programs are organized on regular basis. The workshops, conducted by Oxford trainers, is another proof of our maxim “Lifelong Learning”.

PakTurk is competing with the world for Pakistan. In the year 2014, our students competed in many Olympiads and competitions in 10 countries. In these competitions, they won 10 gold, 5 silver, 10 bronze and 28 honourable mention awards. These architects of the future represented Pakistan with the best of their ability and brought laurels for the country.

Our teachers proved their brilliance in 2nd International Teaching Contest by winning one gold, two silver, one bronze and one honourable mention prize and hoisted Pakistani flag in international arena.

Inter-School Math Olympiad ISMO entered its 10th year. 2014 saw the participation of more than 8000 students in 10 cities of Pakistan to the ISMO. Transparency and merit have been the main reasons of the success and impact of the ISMO.

Every success starts with a dream and we have a dream of golden days, full of hope and happiness.
