Achievements of the Educational ProjectAFTER BEFORE 12. General results and lessonsfrom the program Progress has been done in various socialinterventions while work was held on over 13,000projects. In 2010 ERRA has achieved a rapid progress of 68.82per cent compared to only 21 per cent progress ratein first 3 years, while maintaining transparency. ERRAs was Build Back Better: progress incomparison with the situation before theearthquake. Cluster approach, which was a new and untriedmethod in 2005, now is used as a model for globaldisaster management. 13. General results and lessonsfrom the program First steps towards a new approach of dealingwith disasters: a reactive emergency response->establishing National Disaster ManagementCommission (NDMC) Higher standards of social and physicalinfrastructure->better social conditions anddevelopment of the local economy->higher levelsof socio-economic development->higherstandards of living and rapid reduction of povertyin the affected areas. 14. General results and lessons from the programThe successful large-scale organization of reconstruction efforts was identified as a uniqueexample of synchronizing funds from differentsources, re-activating dormant building capacitiesand know-how, and utilization of resources of lowopportunity costs, and thereby a very efficient reconstruction to a major disaster.
