Located approximately 7 km fromPahalgam, Betaab Valley is a beautiful areasurrounded with dense deodar and pineforests, and snow-capped mountains. Thisvalley got its name from the movie Betaab.The beautiful garden in the valley can beaccessed by a bridge. Also, this valley iswhere you can locate the river Sheshnag.

It is recommended to have a local guidehere and they will charge you around INR100 for an hour's tour. 

2 Aru Valley

Picture perfect, green and away from theusual urban noise and crowds, Aru Valley isquite a piece of paradise. Retreat back into asimpler world, with lambs and sheep and arustic lifestyle to keep you company. This

valley is at a 12 km trek distance or taxi rideaway from Pahalgam. It would usually takeyou 10 hrs to go to and come back from Aruif you’re trekking, so make sure you keepample time in your itinerary for this one.There are a number of local eateries aroundAru Valley where you can satiate yourhunger pangs with maggi, pakodas andother dishes. 3 Martand Sun Temple

For those interested in history, Pahalgam’sbiggest attraction is the ancient Mamaleshwar Shiva Temple. A little over 1 km away from Pahalgam, it isdedicated to Lord Shiva and was onceadorned in gold at the peak of its popularity.The legend surrounding this templesuggests that Lord Ganesha was placed as adoorkeeper at the site of this temple andhence it gets its name “mam mal”, whichtranslates to “don’t go”!
