Sunday April 21, 2019 2 S hri Rajinder Kumar son of late Shri Ram Chand was born on 2nd November, 1951 in Tehsil Basohli, district Kathua. He had two brothers and one sister. His father was doing business at Udhampur and as such he shifted his fami- ly also from Basohli to Udhampur. He completed his matriculation and joined his father on the shop. By dint of his hard work and ability he expanded the business. He got married to Smt Jagmohni daughter of late Shri Kartar Singh resident of Barnoti, district Kathua. He was blessed with two sons and one daughter whom he provided good education. His elder son is doing job in the private sector while his younger son is looking after the busi- ness. His daughter is married in a good family and is well settled. He was a very intelligent and hardworking person. He was very fond of touring and visiting the scenic areas. He generally had a routine of going on tour on Sundays. He visited the Golden Temple Amritsar. He frequently visited the Holy Shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. He was a God fearing person and staunch devotee of Bhagwan Shiv. He performed Pooja - Path at his resident regularly. He breathed his last on 12th April, 2019 due to cardiac arrest. He is survived by his wife, two sons, one daughter and grand children. May God give eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss. The fire broke out in one of the structures at Dadpeth village on Friday night and immediately engulfed the nearby buildings, the official said. The fire and emergency services personnel managed to put off the blaze after several hours of opera- tion, they said, adding the cause of the fire was not known immediately. Kishtwar Deputy Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana visited the affected village Saturday and hand- ed over an immediate relief of Rs 5,000, blankets, kitchen kit, bucket and solar lights to each of the affected families, out of Red Cross fund. The deputy commissioner directed officials concerned to ensure proper and timely compensation to the fire victims. He directed Tehsildar Chatroo to submit a detailed report earliest so that compensation could be provid- ed to them, an official spokesman said. Rana instructed the people to dump their dry fodder or hay away from their houses to avoid fire inci- dents in future. STATE TIMES NEWSKISHTWAR: Three houses andseven shops were gutted in a devas-tating fire in the Kishtwar districtbut there was no report of any lossof life, officials said on Saturday.
The fire broke out in one of thestructures at Dadpeth village onFriday night and immediatelyengulfed the nearby buildings, theofficial said.
The fire and emergency services
personnel managed to put off theblaze after several hours of opera-tion, they said, adding the cause ofthe fire was not known immediately.
Kishtwar Deputy CommissionerAngrez Singh Rana visited theaffected village Saturday and hand-ed over an immediate relief of Rs5,000, blankets, kitchen kit, bucketand solar lights to each of theaffected families, out of Red Crossfund.
The deputy commissioner directedofficials concerned to ensure properand timely compensation to the firevictims.
He directed Tehsildar Chatroo tosubmit a detailed report earliest sothat compensation could be provid-ed to them, an official spokesmansaid. Rana instructed the people todump their dry fodder or hay awayfrom their houses to avoid fire inci-dents in future.
