Report :
Since the report was prepared amended plans have been received and additional details in relationto the proposed internal doors and heating system. The proposed creation of a new internal doorand corridor between 102 and 104 has now been omitted. The amended plans are considered tobe acceptable and

General Notes
FloorsAll existing floor boards to be lightly sanded. Themajority of boards appear to be original but there aresections where new boards have been introduced.The intention is to retain ALL existing boards, and justlocally patch repair where there is substantial damagethat could become a trip hazard. Floor board repair willbe done by splicing in new material, using Douglas firtimber which is as close as match to the original slowgrown softwood. The emphasis will be on maximumpreservation of historic / existing material.
Lighting / Small PowerAll existing lighting, small power and cabling to beremoved and full system re-wire carried out. Detail ofnew luminaires to be agreed.
HeatingThese proposals do not include details of any newheating system

Re-fit salvaged timber wall paneling currently looselystored on the first floor, around the stairwell. Cleanand stain. New timber at base of paneling where existing skirtingappears to have been lost. No carved detail to beapplied as original skirting detail is not known.
Repair lath and plaster lining by removing modern infillboards and fitting new chestnut or oak straight sawnlaths fixed with stainless steel screws or staples. Newplaster finish using three-coat lime plaster (lime puttybinder) with goat hair reinforcement. All productsavailable from Eden Lime Mortars. See photo 02above
Once existing lath and plaster repaired, introduce newlining wall as acoustic upgrade. Gyplyner IWL byBritish Gypsum or similar.
Fireplace and chimney breasts will beconcealed by new lining wall. Refer to plan ondrawing 21006-02
