75 YEARS AGO Monday, April 8, 1935 • The city election campaign rests today where it stood Saturday — with two candidates for the may- oralty, two for finance commissioner and five nominees for the two justice of the peace positions. • Half a million geese gave Yankton and vicinity a real touch of the wild late last week as the north- ward migration of the birs was halt- ed here by the weather and other conditions. 50 YEARS AGO Friday, April 8, 1960 • Eleven Yankton people partici- pated in an air tour to Sioux Falls on North Central Airlines Thursday morning.
