Participant: Margaret, I have a lot of discomfort with hemorrhoids, and I'm wondering if this is related to my first chakra, and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions of how I would deal with this. Margaret: Yes, 100% it's a first-chakra issue. We're all sitting on our first chakras, so anything that is IBS or hemorrhoids or all the other unmentionable things that we don't like to talk about, those are first-chakra issues. When you look at the 7 Levels program, it's really about your paradigm and your programming about money, but the other aspect, which I want to work with today, is that at the first chakra, we realize that we are not safe on this planet. It's your feeling of safety and "Can I take care of myself? Can I survive?" If you were raised in a family where you didn't quite feel safe all the time, then the manifestation at your first chakra will be around these issues, like IBS or hemorrhoids, that all have to do with unsafety and some anger as well. I've had amazing results with this. People will say, "I don't know if I want to tell you this, but since we started working together, my hemorrhoids are gone." With both Irritable Bowel Syndrome and hemorrhoids, where we really start to get to the core issue of not feeling safe, and if you have some anger about that—sometimes it's connected, "My parents didn't keep me safe, and I'm still angry about it"—I've had amazing results with people having their physical things disappear. Participant: I had an operation a month ago, and they've just come straight back.

Margaret: You always want to honor the physical side, and the medical industry there is going to honor the symptom side, but to do some work on the energetic side and what it means emotionally and energetically, that's always an incredible thing to add into your healing process. So we'll do some of that today. Participant: I went through the profiles and was sure that I was the first one until we got to rock star status and I could identify more with some of the frustrations and the betrayal. So my question is how do you almost unleash and get a real clear sense of which one that is, or do you work them all? Margaret: In case anyone hasn't listened to it yet, this is on the Profile Foundational Training, which is another gift from Rhys Thomas. It's actually me teaching it because I can't get him to do anything in an hour. He would teach a four-hour class on it if I tried to get him to make a recording. Rhys is a Creative Idealist, so he can never do the same thing twice. The Charismatic Leader is what I think you're talking about there. My primary is a Charismatic Leader. I fought Rhys on that for a good four months. I argued with him constantly about it. "I am not a Charismatic Leader. I don't want to be a Charismatic Leader! That is nothing like me!" because Knowledgeable Achiever sounded like the "me" I had played my whole life and Team Player. But I found out I have zero Team Player in me, practically. In our programming, we're only allowed to be certain things. Everyone on the planet—this is society—we are totally allowed to be Knowledgeable Achievers. Pretty much in most countries, there's a very high standard on being smart and achieving, which is great if you're a Knowledgeable Achiever because you will love that. And it's great if you're a Charismatic Leader and that's one of the ways you lead and get attention. We are totally allowed to be People Pleasers. Nobody is going to stop you from people pleasing. People will appreciate your people pleasing their entire lifetimes if you have made a vow to give and give and serve and serve. Nobody is going to stop you, especially if you're a woman.

Working what your real profile is, often as you work through the 7 Levels, you'll see the different vows that you've taken. If you took a vow to survive in your family to always sacrifice and give and serve or to always push away your emotions and be smart, or if you had to escape up into your head all the time and stay in your imagination world because it wasn't safe, then undoing that vow and coming down out of that vow will allow your real profile to start to emerge. The basic question for you is: first of all, do you have more anger that runs through your body than you really admit? I did not think I did because I always pushed stuff away. "I'm not even going to get mad about that. That's not going to upset me." But the reality is I do have more anger, more drive, and more frustration that runs through my body than the other four profiles. The Charismatic Leader will have more rage that boils up and more betrayal issues. They're willing to go into battle more, even if they justify it a lot. Whereas the Knowledgeable Achiever is a lot more internally focused. It's about internal control. It's about mastery. It's about always mastering something for the mastery angle to be your very best. You're always competing with yourself to be your very best. For the Charismatic Leader, it's like "Oh, I want to be my very best if that's the thing that gets me to be seen and bigger and better and more rock star than everybody else. If I'm the best, I get to win. If I can do that by being smart, I will. If I can do that by being an amazing athlete, I will. If I can do that by being the class clown, I will." It's about starting to figure out the thing that really lights you up, and often it's hard to admit, particularly if you are a Charismatic Leader. Or if you're a guy and you really are a Team Player or an Emotional Intelligence Specialist, if you're a guy that's soft, that is not okay in our society. So they will often say, "I'm a Charismatic Leader," and it's 100% a Team Player. Or "I am a Knowledgeable Achiever. That is what I do. I love achieving," and they are 100% a Team Player or Emotional Intelligence Specialist or even a Creative Idealist. Keep in mind that your programming says you're allowed to typically be two things: Knowledgeable Achiever and a Team Player if you're a woman. If you're a guy, Charismatic Leader and Knowledgeable Achiever are the only things that are really allowed.

With the profiles, we realize it's not Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus. There are five kinds of people, and we're from five different planets, and it doesn't matter whether we're male or female. There are just as many female Charismatic Leaders, but there's a lot of negative programming about that. What I would do is leave it open and let it go through your system. Feel where you have resistance. Often, if you have a strong Charismatic Leader, that's the one you will resist the most. It's the other profiles that often say, "That sounds like me. I really want to be a Charismatic Leader." Charismatic Leaders are like, "No, I don't want that." Sometimes that's a dead giveaway. Just like I say in the training, if you feel like every single profile is you and you can be all of them, that's the Charismatic Leader because we are absolutely the actors and actresses. We can morph ourselves into anybody. We can play a Knowledgeable Achiever, and we can play a Team Player. We can play everybody. We can play an Emotional Intelligence Specialist "poor me" like you've never seen. Every Charismatic Leader has a built-in Emotional Intelligence Specialist, so often they'll say, "I think I'm an Emotional Intelligence Specialist," and you're looking at this incredibly powerful person with huge, strong shoulders, a big body, and piercing eyes. They have a strong Emotional Intelligence Specialist quality, but the Emotional Intelligence Specialists are soft. You look at them and you melt. Their eyes melt you. They're soft, soft people. They don't have the same level of big energy as the Charismatic Leader—that's not their role here on this planet. It's to be soft and loving and hold that space for people to appreciate beauty and love in a deeper way. Charismatic Leaders, we can totally feel all that, but when you look at what you're doing in your life, it's usually where we see the Charismatic Leader. We call it an Emotional Intelligence Specialist with big skills. Everybody, if you're confused right now, that's okay. When I'm doing tapping for the base chakra, the words that you've been saying, for the most part, don't resonate so much with me. The "lack" and "scarcity," for sure, but the details of how it played out in my family was really different. Would you recommend that I change the words or just tap along with your words? Margaret: Definitely change the words, yes. Everyone has a different experience. For the training, I had to grab what resonates with 80% of the people, but always shift the words to suit you. Sometimes when I did other people's programs, I would pause the recording, and I would really go into my own words and process what I saw in my picture. The other side of it is people who were raised wealthy, which is another scenario I hear a lot. If you were raised wealthy, then there may not have been the scarcity, but what happened is that there was a lot more around power struggles and "You will be who we say you have to be or you're cut off." I've heard from so many women where they were told, "Just get married. You don't need to go to college," or the family paradigm was "Your brothers will take over the business" or "Go to college, but it doesn't really matter what you do" or "You'll work in the family business." It really depends. If there was no scarcity, often there was a first chakra much more of a "You'd really better do it our way, or then you'll be in scarcity. We hold the purse strings." So always shift the words to match your picture better because that's just going to work better for you. Participant: The scarcity and lack were really in my parents' childhood, so do you think it's appropriate to somehow tap for your ancestors? Margaret: When you looked at your picture when you were a child, how did they operate? Whether they had money or not, did they still have anxiety around money? Participant:

Yes, they did. Margaret: That means it's in your paradigm. You might have a higher wealth set point, like "Our family wasn't just hand to mouth. We had more wealth." But that means your nervous system is still wired to have anxiety around money. Participant: The little bit of training I have in tapping was from Gary Craig, and it seemed like he always used the karate chop before, and I notice sometimes you start on the points. How do you know when you need to do the karate chop? Margaret: Actually, he did a lot of DVD sets, and as his training evolved, he started to use the karate chop point less often if we're tuned in to an issue. The sequence of the points and which points to use, there's no real magic to it. If you're tuned in to an issue, most practitioners will often have you just start tapping anywhere tuned in to that issue. If sadness is up, you can say, "Even though I have this sadness, I love and accept myself." What I find for me, personally, is that it brings us back to our head a little bit, where if I just have someone say, "Sadness, deep sadness, all this sadness," they stay tuned in to it, and they process more quickly. When I have them talking about "I have this sadness. I love and accept myself. I forgive myself," sometimes that is incredibly great, and I do use it still. But sometimes people can go up in their head because now they're saying full sentences, or they might be saying, "I choose to be open to a new idea," and that brings them out of the intensity. What I often use the karate chop point for is when I'm not quite sure what my problem is and what I am feeling crappy about. So I use the karate chop point often when I need to have a little discussion with myself or when I'm ready for a reframe. I've processed a lot of anger or something, and then I tap karate chop point, and I'll think, "What is it that I really want?" Then I'll tap, "Even though I just tapped on all this anger and I still feel it, I really do want ease in my life, and I'm so open to that."

I use karate chop point as a little bit of a bridge to get a handle on something. If I'm just feeling annoyed and I don't really know why, and I don't have a strong emotion, I'll start tapping on my karate chop point and I'll just start talking. "Even though I just feel crappy and I don't know why, and I feel like everything sucks, I guess I love myself." It helps me to get started. Then suddenly, I'll feel, "Wow, I'm actually really sad right now, and I'm trying to fight that. There's something I've been trying not to think about." I use the karate chop point to get a handle on the issue, and I use it if I want to switch to "Okay, I just tapped on a ton of anger and frustration, and I feel calmer. What do I want? Law of Attraction—what do I want instead?" Okay, so now I'm going to use karate chop point: "Even though I've had all this anger, I totally own it. I am open to having more ease in my life. I'm open to things being easy." It sort of helps me get my thoughts in order. There's a lot in the old training—and I know Dawson Church uses this too—about reversals and using it for reversals, saying, "I love and accept myself." I just haven't found the need to use that too much. Maybe I'm getting at the idea of reversals in a different way, but that's my way of doing it. Participant: Do you ever just use the fingers, like that guy in Australia? Margaret: I do when I'm nervous and I don't want people to see me tapping. There are certain times, like when I'm at the dentist, thinking, "This is going to hurt. This is going to hurt!" and then "What am I saying?" so I'll start tapping my fingertip points. I had a lot of dental trauma when I was a child, and I can't believe how much more relaxed I am. But sometimes I'll think, "I'm just going to tap on my fingertip points just to keep me grounded," especially if I have to have a longer procedure, like a crown or something, and I'm in there for hours. I'll tap and I'll think to myself, "My jaw is relaxed." I use it a lot for affirmations or if I'm actually feeling a little bit anxious about something. Even though I do a lot of tapping, I still have a fight-or-flight response and it can still get triggered, so I will use that if I need to. A good example is at a school event with my daughter when I get moved to tears because it's a chorus or

whatever they're doing, and nobody else is crying! I'll start to get really emotional and think about my daughter and all these children. I just start tapping a little bit, and instead of bursting into tears and awkwardly crying in front of people who are just watching, I can bring the intensity down a little bit. So there are some examples of my humanity for you. Does that help? Participant: Yes, but are you saying you can use them interchangeably if it's just like a matter of convenience? Sometimes I've tapped enough that my arms just feel a little sore. Can you just go ahead and use the fingertips with just as good a result? Margaret: Yes, the tapping points are just acupuncture points, and we have lots of them. There's no particular magic to any particular point. What you're doing when you're hitting an acupuncture point is electrically interacting with your nervous system. That's all. It's an area with increased electrical conductivity on your skin, and when you tap it, you're creating a light electrical charge that seems to switch off the fight-or-flight response because that's the result that always gets measured when they do trials on it. It's just a matter of tapping the point, tapping it enough, or tapping a few points to act like an electrical switch and turn off the race of your nervous system—the fight-or-flight response and the racing thoughts that go with it. When we have tremendous anger or frustration or sadness, all of those things are wired into our brain, and our nervous system reacts quickly, so we break the connection. It's kind of like flicking a switch. I never want people to think that there's a certain magic to a certain way of tapping or sequence of tapping. Just really try to hit the tapping point. That's the most important thing. Participant: I was so grateful to hear you sharing this big shift that you had. When you leave a corporate job, which is what I've done and moved to self-employment, are there tapping issues around being able to generate your own income? Where does that fit into the system that you have?

Margaret: It'll hit one of the chakras. For me, it hit a lot of first-chakra issues because this went away from my first-chakra paradigm, my family's paradigm, of the way the world was. In addition, my dad had left corporate America, tried to start his business, and it didn't work. He had to go back to corporate America. So now that's hardwired into my paradigm. It really hit "This is the way the world works. Somebody like me is not going to be able to make it. The big corporations have all the money." It also hit the second chakra, my sense of really deserving. When a company is setting my income, they're saying, "You have a degree in chemical engineering and you're a this-level salesperson. That means this is how much we pay you." I didn't have to do any self-introspection. But when I was responsible for my income, I had to ask people face to face to pay me a certain price, and I had to decide what my value was, that hit a lot of buttons. The third chakra: I'd always been this person who went to her job, rolled her eyes, was the heckler in the back of the room, and pretty much went through jobs to earn money and have as much time as I could with my daughter. I loved the people there, but I just never really could bring myself into the company fully. So it was something I did between 9 and 5. That's the persona I knew. Now I was this person who was going to go out and speak about me and my business, and this meant everything to me! Everything that I was saying, I believed. It was like "Wow! Am I the type of person that has the strength, the courage, the charisma, and the fearlessness to go out there and speak about who I am in a completely different way?" It felt very strange when I first started to say, "Hi, my name is Margaret Lynch, and I'm a success coach." I thought, "What am I saying?" I had been a salesperson for nine years, representing a company. So it hit several chakras. As you move through the program, keep that intention. That's why I did the program focused on wealth; it's not just personal development. My intention at every chakra is to tune in to where my conflict is or what some of my challenges are around going from the corporate world—talk about a first chakra of rules and paradigms—and my self-employment.

That's a great question because I recommend anybody who is taking the class to hold an intention as you go through it. Even if you just say once, "This is my intention going through this program," that will really align your higher self to bring up the issues that are important for you. We can take any subject and run it up through the chakras. We could take relationships, we could take our power in general, we could take our spirituality—I have a Miracles class—and run it up through the chakras. It's really about your intention. Participant: First of all, I am so grateful for you and this program. I have been doing some energy work, visualization work, and LOA work for about a year and a half and not getting results. I finally realized that I have energy blocks. You came to me in my email inbox, and I bought your program. It's just that simple. My husband and I both have deep-rooted stories around scarcity. We both have addiction—alcoholism—in our families. We've been married for 25 years, and I feel like we have gotten so much in our life, but our money issue—forget about it. I feel like we're on this constant loop de loop of financial hell and total anxiety about money. I'm doing this tapping, and I feel like it's working for me. He's not doing it with me, so I feel like I'm on the island by myself. I feel like it's working for me, but then the issue comes up where something comes due, and then all of a sudden, I find myself being sucked right back into that feeling of fear and scarcity. I don't know how to get that under control. Margaret: First of all, you want to honor that you've been operating this way for however old you are. It does take some of us using some of our energy to choose what I call "positive self-discipline," some positive energy, to keep at it and to keep tapping. Every time that you have a massive anxiety blast about money, tap on it again. I made that commitment because I noticed I would feel great, wake up the next day, look at my bank account, and feel anxiety.

Your nervous system is wired to run anxiety around money. We've all heard the term "neuroplasticity." This work is going to take a huge chunk out of that. What I often found was that maybe it was a 2 or a 3, and I would just continue to tap on it. I would say to myself, "If I tap about money every frickin' day, it's going to make a difference." If you had chronic pain or a disease you were dealing with, you would probably be willing to tap about it every day because you would feel the pain every day. Money is no different. It is latent pain. Participant: I'm doing it every day. I have gotten myself into a routine and am doing it every single day. Like I said, I feel like it's getting better, but then that point comes where my son is going to college and we've got to figure tuition out, or a tax bill comes due. I just want to figure out how to not allow myself to continue to go back to that place. Margaret: That's the other side of it. When you tap on the anxiety, what I want you to try next time—and this is great for everybody—is seeing what it would be like to get angry, to tap and say, "I am so frickin' sick of being anxious about money!" Switch it over to anger. When you do that, you want to honor the anxiety, but if you can tap into some anger, some rage, about it, like "I hate being anxious about money all the time," what will happen—if you can start now voicing that energy—is that more energy will start blasting up through your system. On the other side of that tapping, you will feel a couple of things. You'll get some clarity about something you have to do, and you'll bring up a very cool energy called "courage." You'll say, "That's it. I have got to do something different, and I'm not going to let fear stop me anymore." This is pretty much what I went through, and I couldn't think my way there. I couldn't say, "Oh, well, if I just tapped on anger, then I'd probably think that, so I'm going to start there." No, you've got to let it process and move.

Tapping on anxiety and fear is always a good thing to do, but if you can bring up some anger, it can actually blast through because now you've gone up to the second chakra, and it'll bring more energy through your body. And when that energy flows up to the third chakra, that's when we say, "Dang it! I'm going to make something happen right now! I am going to make it happen." That is a vibe, an energy, an enthusiasm, and a courage that appears when you move the energy of anger. Participant: Doing all of this, I have seen some changes. We've owned our own business for 16 years, and we've always been on the cusp of being successful but never really there. It's been up and down, up and down. I have seen with all of this work that business is coming in, but I've been learning that we're just not able to hold onto it. It's coming in, it's flowing out. It's coming in, it's flowing out. I'm realizing it's that story—and my husband has this so strongly—of not being perfect. That's why I don't deserve yet. I'm trying to take baby steps to get him involved in this with me, but we're not there yet. Margaret: That was the other part of the question I was going to address because I bet there are a lot of people listening whose partner or spouse, brother or sister, or someone they're close to is not actually doing the tapping also. Participant: He hates the job because he's caught on a Ferris wheel of the whole money issue. But he's so good at what he does that I feel like if we can get him to see this, it would change everything. Margaret: He's the achiever guy? He's really good at what he does and is delivering a lot of the service? Participant:

Yes. Margaret: Have you looked into the profile information? Participant: Not yet. I haven't gotten to that. Margaret: What's your role in the business? That's important. Participant: Since doing this, I've really taken on more of a leadership role. I've always been in the office. I'm a mom. I was raising my kids, PTA, the whole thing. But now that I've started doing this, I'm taking more of an active role, and I'm doing what I need to, to get out there and make things happen. He's going through life, "I hate doing this! I hate this!" It's not that he hates what he does. He hates that he's the one that has to do everything because the money is not there for him to have the right people to do it with him. Margaret: When you listen to the profile information, you probably have a lot of Charismatic Leader, especially the way that you're stepping up. I don't know what his profile is. He might be an Achiever. He might have some Charismatic Leader too. He might be a Team Player. He might really love the service aspect of it. What I want everybody to know is that when you do this work, when you start shifting you, everybody around you will shift. It is ridiculous! I just talked about this yesterday. It is amazing, it is miraculous, and it is insane the way that it happens! When you start letting go of your programming, when you start owning

your power, when you start saying, "I'm going to make this happen," and when you start setting your positive intentions, everybody around you will shift. Sometimes they just shift naturally, and you're like, "Wow, how did this even happen? They're not even doing the work!" Do not underestimate the power of your field—the field of a person who just took one or two or three even baby steps up in presence and consciousness. Also what happens is there's an amount of resistance that you're feeding in and pushing into the field—even when you're trying to be the positive one—that you start to let go of. Everybody feels it, and people will start to be more excited and motivated just from being around you. It is so miraculous how this happens. I've heard it over and over for five years. People just keep telling me, "I cannot believe how all these people have shifted, and I'm the only one doing the program." The other thing is that if you have a lot of Charismatic Leader, then even more so, your energy determines the energy. Everybody else will be a domino from where you are. So you just keep doing what you're doing, and you keep addressing your stuff. Sometimes we reach a point with somebody where we might have to set a boundary and say, "This is no longer going to be acceptable. I need you to do this, and that's it." But suddenly, there's so much less resistance in the field. You're pushing less when you set a boundary or say to somebody who's an addict or something, "This is the line I'm setting with you." Even people who have been in relationships with addicts, the other person—the addict—has completely shifted from them pulling all of their energy back and standing in their power. So it would be great if you could get him to do the program. The way that you'll have the most likely success is by you embodying the transformation that you're getting and standing in the power of that. That's a really common question that comes up for a lot of people. I was looking at the first video that you had on Chakra 1. It was talking about the family dynamics. I lived with two different families. One had a problem with finances, and the other one didn't. I think it's similar to the first caller—I'm seeing a combination of lack and then perhaps the situation where there wasn't lack. I think I'm more related to the lack than I am to the other situation for whatever reason. Margaret: The question for you would be: which family was your original tribe, and which family would trigger more around a feeling of loyalty or a feeling of anger and rebellion? You can see it's really complicated at the first chakra because there are so many mixed messages. We get a lot of those mixed messages like "It's good to pay your bills, but it's bad to be rich." We all have so many mixed messages at our first chakra, and you've certainly got a lot of them. But you want to look for where the emotional intent would be around "Why did you abandon me?" or "Why didn't you take care of me?" or "Why couldn't you be there for me?" Or "My poor, poor parents never ever got a break, and it broke their hearts." Where would that intensity be? It's usually more around our original tribe of origin. Participant: That's what I noticed. I'm more like my original—my grandparents—than my uncle who also had to take care of me. Margaret: What happened with your parents? Why weren't your parents taking care of you? Participant: My parent was very young. She was 16, and had already had at least three kids by the time she was 16, so my grandmother took on that role. I felt that it was the situation with my mom because she wasn't able to take care of us. She was too young.

Margaret: You'd literally just tap and talk about it or rant about it. Maybe it's almost like an argument with God, but I would like you to explore how you really feel about that in general. Does that feel unfair? Really, it's hard to blame anybody in there, but if you could be really just nasty—if somebody were to watch the movie of your life—who would you blame if you give yourself permission to sound really negative and blaming and just tap on it? Would it be, "Grandma, what were you thinking? Why wasn't my mother protected? Why weren't you smarter? Why couldn't you have taken care of me like you took care of the other kids?" See if there's any energy there. Or is it an argument with God? "Why did You let this happen?" Just see if there's anything there because at your first-chakra level is any argument that you might have with God or the Universe or just all the players in the picture. As an adult, we can say, "I can totally see what happened, why it was the way it was, and why those people made those decisions." But at a first- and second-chakra level, at a child level, no, a child wants their mommy. A child wants to be kept safe and loved by their mother. So at that low level, just see if there's some energy for you to move there. If you don't see what's there, my concern would be that there'll be a tendency for you to never really ask for your deepest needs to be met. Participant: That's true. I do have that situation a lot of times. Margaret: I hit that one, right? Just see. This could be really, really emotional. You just want to keep tapping and see what comes out. If there's an energy there, if there's sadness, if there are tears, if there's rage, that will be an incredible level of healing for you. What I want to do is some tapping and bring in some of these things that we've heard. I want everyone to close their eyes and take a nice, deep breath. We're going to look at this different aspect of the first chakra, a little different than we did in the audio.

I want you to see yourself again as a really young child, maybe even a baby. Just let your mind paint the picture of the age that shows up for you. I want you to notice the child that you're looking at that you once were. Does the child feel safe? Does the child feel safe, wanted, taken care of, nurtured? Does the child feel adored? Energetically, when we come through as children, we come through from Source, where we're totally loved and connected and safe. We come into this body, literally into our first chakra, and we realize, "Oh, my God! I am completely helpless! And it is up to the people in my life to keep me safe, both emotionally by loving me and by wanting me, and literally keeping me safe." We know that at an energetic level, at an emotional level, even as we look at that young child. Does the child feel safe? We're going to do a round of tapping on this. It can get kind of intense. It can get emotional, and if it does, just keep on tapping through the points and honoring what's coming up for you. We're going to start with the eyebrow point. Then I usually just let people tap through the points at whatever sequence or rate or speed they want to. So I don't normally call the points out. It's really just allowing you to tap, and that lets me stay in the flow a little bit better. Take a nice, deep breath. If that was really intense for you, just keep tapping. I want you to take a nice, deep breath and look at that little child again. See the child there, and often after just one round of tapping, the child will look a little safer, a little calmer. People will say, "The baby was crying. Now it's calm." I want you to tune in to the baby, to the little child, now that it's feeling a little calmer, and I want you to see if there's any anger there. Is there any anger in that child that no one was keeping the child safe? This is really interesting because I used to just go through this process and then bring in love, which we'll do, but when I started asking if there was some anger in the child, I was amazed at how many people could see anger in the little child. Anger is a powerful emotion, and it's right there where we will start. Anger gets stuck, and what that means is that later in life, we will self-sabotage. When we had anger at our situation, the only way we can process that anger or fight the battle that we couldn't fight—because anger means "I want to change this, and I can't"—it goes into the energy of self-sabotage in our life. This means we will recreate the same situations, or we will make a vow to prove that we're never safe, and the self-sabotage means we're going to create situations to prove, "See? I'm still never safe." We stay locked in battle. I want to do a round of tapping on anger. Tapping Session 2 There I am Feeling a little calmer A little more safe But now I can see some anger in the child Anger in my little body This isn't how it was meant to be I'm supposed to be loved!

I want you to imagine that if you could be there with this little child, would you be there for them? If you could step into that picture in your mind as an adult—step in today—and hold that child, give that child love, safety, and security, would you? Could you? I want you to close your eyes and imagine you could step into that picture, pick up that young child, whether it's a baby or a toddler, and tell them, "I love you." Tell them, "I am going to keep you safe. I totally understand. I'm the only one who understands." Tell them that they're perfect. I want you to imagine that the beautiful, green heart-chakra energy, the spring green of the heart chakra, could flow right from your body just like a beam of love into this little child so they could really feel how much you love them. Notice if the child receives that love from you. This is your inner child. This child lives in you. This child is at your core, like a tree. Every tree has a ring. This is your innermost ring. This child has been trapped in sadness and fear and anger and confusion. And so as you pour love into that child, you pour it right into your core. I want you to now imagine that there is a room filled with 500 children surrounded by 500 adults, representing all the people on this call and all of the people who will listen to the replay. Join together knowing that 500 other people are sending love into these beautiful children, and healing, forgiving, and releasing so much more pain. Know that as you stand with those 500 people, if you didn't feel there was enough love for you, that is joined now by 500 other conscious, amazing, beautiful people who are there to beam love into you as well.

Just imagine this beautiful love fest of healing and connection. Every one of us is connected by the sound of my voice now or in the recording. We are connected. We are in this tribe. We are creating a new tribe instead of the one that we were born into. We get to create our own new tribe right now. I want you to let your heart chakra fill up with even more love for people you don't even know who are suffering the same way you have, and let them know that you love them too. Make a commitment to be in this tribe of people who bringing healing to their own inner child and to each other. Take a nice, deep breath and let that in. I want you to come back to you and your child again, and notice the shift that's there. Notice how it's feeling in your heart chakra right now, how it's feeling maybe in your first chakra or second chakra all the way through your body. Notice the bottoms of your feet as they touch your shoes or the floor. Notice if they're swirling and tingling a little bit and how present you are in your body and life right now. Coming back a little bit, you can open your eyes or leave them closed. The gift at the first chakra is remembering that when we are able to let go of more of our wounding from our own tribe—our battle with our own tribe, convincing them, trying to prove, and all the things we do with our tribe of origin—we have the openness, the energy, to attract and allow our own new tribe in. We can allow ourselves to bring in people and create our new tribe, a tribe where we are seen and loved and appreciated, a tribe where we fit, where the language that we use, people understand—a common language about healing and empowerment. I am honored to have 500 or 600 more people who have jumped in on the 7 Level program, people that are coming into my tribe. This is a decision point for you. There are two things to decide and commit to. You poured love into that little child and told the child that the child was loveable and deserving. Are you going to live that? Are you going to catch yourself with your negative self-talk and say, "Shut up! I do not want my beautiful inner child to hear that talk. I do deserve better. I deserve relationships where I feel safe and loved. I deserve a business where I can thrive. I deserve money that lets me feel safe and free in my life"? Keep your commitment to your inner child. I know that it's difficult. Life takes over. But I want you to remember once a day to put your hand on your heart—because that's where that little child who was in so much pain lives—and say, "I

love you. I love you!" all the way into your core. I know there's not one of us on this call that would deny to a child what we so often deny to ourselves. Remember that that child is in your heart. Secondly, recognize that there are so many vows we have at the first chakra to be loyal to our tribe, to rebel against our tribe, to do all these things that keep us locked in our tribe. Remember that it is your life purpose to surpass your tribe. It's your life purpose to surpass those people in every way. It is the life purpose of every generation to surpass the previous in consciousness, in brilliance, in abundance, in love, in relationships. That is your life purpose. When you decide to hold that within you—letting go of these secret vows to be loyal so that we never surpass our tribe, or letting go of these vows to surpass our tribe to prove them wrong, to prove that we can do it, or to prove that they were wrong—when we can let go of that battle and that loyalty to our first tribe, we become free to surpass because it is our life purpose to create ourselves and our life that way. When we let go of vows, we become free. When we let go of our first tribe, we actually can attract and allow more of our new tribe to show up. Take a nice, deep breath, everyone. ~~~ Take a nice, deep breath. Come on back. I just want you to feel what's happening in your body right now. When we did that round of tapping, if there was a lot of intensity around anger and then maybe it turned to sadness, I want you to know that it's important—if there's a lot of loss or a lot of sadness came up—to really honor that. Tapping while voicing it—everything you lost—really letting it out for once is really, really powerful to move that energy. Particularly if you've had physical issues at your first-chakra area or in your digestion, this will make a huge, huge difference. Participant: I'm asking about our children. I'm 52 now, and I realize I have given my children very similar programming to what I was given in my upbringing. I'm wondering if it's too late. Margaret: It's never too late. I was going to mention this because I got a birthday card from my parents, and the card was so beautiful. It said, "It's amazing to watch your daughter's life unfold." This is really important to me because as you shift—again, when you are the mother or the father of a family, your energy determines the energy of the house mostly—and you start doing this work now, you will see an amazing shift in your children. They haven't lived 65 years or 55 years or 45 years with the programming. It's not as hardwired into them. What I find with people is that as you shift, particularly when you have children, here is one of the things that you want to do some serious tapping on, and this is how I recommend doing it. Close your eyes, picture your children, and picture

any of the programming that you think you have given to them—all the things that make you feel, "Oh, my God! I totally screwed my kid up! That's why my kid has anxiety!" if they're acting out or whatever. Picture them in your mind's eye. That will usually trigger some guilt or something. Just literally tap and voice that. You would say, "There she is, my daughter. She's anxious, she's nervous, she has low self-esteem, and it's all my fault. It's all my fault! I'm a terrible mother! I'm so guilty!" You'd tap on it both on what you see in her and how that makes you feel until it starts to come down. Then you close your eyes, picture your daughter or whoever it is again, and often the picture will shift. When it shifts, you can do a round of tapping that's positive. "I send my children love, and it is my intention that they …." What will happen is that all of that energy is in the field in between you and your children, so anything that you feel guilty about with your children—I've had a lot of people who felt guilty because in their pregnancy, they were sick or fighting with their husband, and they think that it has ruined their kid forever—all of that that you feel guilty about is in the field between you and your children, and it becomes a barrier. We think it's just desserts. "I should feel guilty because I did wrong my kid." But it actually becomes a barrier. So when you take down that barrier and you pull all that out of the field, you will be so much more present and real with your children. It is amazing how, even if they've developed some negative behaviors, they will shift and you will deal with their negative behaviors totally differently. I've had people with extreme cases of children with behavior problems that literally went away because they did this work. I don't care if your children are adult children. When you embody your new level of what it looks like to be a conscious person who is forgiving themselves, loving themselves, and living life, that shifts everybody around you. It is incredibly powerful, and it is our gift to the next generation. It is our gift to our daughters and sons. Do not underestimate the power of your field. Do not underestimate that when you feel guilty, you think you're beating yourself up and "I deserve it," but when you hold that in your field, there is incredible negative power to that. Participant: I want to thank you for doing these calls because I've done a lot of work with my coach, Nan Akasha, and I cleared out a lot of stuff, but I'm finding this helpful,

too, because I think there's still some residual stuff there. I like how you talk about things being "hardwired," so this is a wonderful adjunct or addition to what I'm doing. I hadn't done any tapping in quite some time, and this is really helpful because I've made a major change. I left my job and now I'm creating my coaching business, so this has been wonderful to help me to clear out some more stuff. Margaret: Nan is one of my good friends. I adore her. She's an amazing coach, and this is really great complementary work for any coaching program. Nan is incredible at the upper chakras, and she's an incredible, spiritual person. A lot of business coaches, even the coaches that I use, are very oriented on you taking the steps. So to do this work, which is lower-chakra work—and there's stuff in our lower chakras that is really in our blind spot—and to complement the upper-chakra work, the goal work, and the visualization work with lower-chakra work will bring much more power into all the other good stuff that you're doing. Participant: Margaret, thanks so much for what you're doing. I felt an incredible release. One thing that's going on with me is in my jaw. It's gotten to the place where just every time I bite down or anything, my jaw is just locked. In some of the work that I've done, it completely lets up, and then it will start again. I'm wondering how to address that. The other thing is the anxiety that I feel a lot. I'll go through periods where I don't feel it, but recently, since I've been doing this work with you and some other work, it's all coming up again. I felt a huge release in that tapping with the child, and I know from that that it's really sitting in her. I don't have memories of my childhood, and so when somebody says to me, "Go back and picture …" or "What's your first memory of money?" I don't have it. I wonder what you would say about those things. Margaret:

That's related to your jaw. You probably have the Charismatic Leader quality, and you have an unbelievable will. Somewhere you learned young that there probably wasn't a lot of safety there, so what you probably did was decide, "I'm not even going to deal with these people. I'm not going to feel this. I'm not going to let it push me around emotionally." It's like somehow you distanced yourself. You sort of dissociated from it, which is often why we don't remember it. Maybe you were like, "These people are crazy," or that's how some people will often say it. Either "It's not safe" or "These people are crazy, so I'm not going to deal with this. I'm going to blank this out and not really be present at all in it." That's a great protection. Are you aware at all of what your childhood was like? Do you have a sense of what it was like? Participant: There was a lot of fighting with my parents. At nighttime when we'd be in bed, it would start, and it was scary. It was a very scary place with lots of negativity. My father, who just passed away a few months ago, I made peace with him over the last year, so that was really great. But I remember years ago, he saw a picture of me when I was 5 years old, and he said, "You were always the feisty one." So I think that kind of goes with what you're saying, but I don't really remember that. Margaret: We can use our willpower to not go there, to not feel stuff. It means that you have to live really tightly. It's like "I've got to be a little tightly wound," and it means that you probably have a lot of hypervigilance. Do you have trouble falling asleep or things like that? Participant: I used to a lot. It's way, way better, but yes, I used to. Margaret:

Having a really tight jaw is sort of like saying, "I have to be on alert all the time. I have to be hypervigilant all the time. I've got to be in control because if I'm not in control or I'm not in battle, then I might start to feel more pain inside of me." The fifth chakra is the primary chakra for the Charismatic Leader. It's where we speak our truth. It's where we create our life. It's where we set intentions. Often, when we're doing a lot of work, the clearing channel comes up, so when we're voicing stuff at the first chakra and second chakra, it's moving all the way up and out. We voice it with our fifth chakra and say things like, "I'm open to letting this go and loving and accepting myself," in the tapping. It's really about moving that energy up and out. The way I often have people like you tap is to look at the work we did today or listen to the recording, and then do a round of tapping. Pause it and do the round of tapping like this: "I do not want to go there. I do not want to feel this. I do not want to see this picture. I don't want to deal with any of this. I shut it down for a reason. I'm not going there. No way! Margaret can't make me! I'm not going to feel this! I don't want to feel this." Allow that tapping round to let you start to feel—you will literally start to feel something. It's not as important to see the picture perfectly. You could probably make up a picture. You could say, "I'm going to allow myself to make up a picture of me in my bed, hearing my parents fighting." It's really the feeling that will start to come up. You've probably locked it down for a long time, so you can set an intention that "I'm willing to feel this at a 2," and take a baby step into moving some of that. The other thing that you could do is use some bioenergetics. This is great, and you're going to hear me talk about this a lot. After the class, go into a soundproof room when nobody is home, and punch the bed or punch the pillow, and start yelling, "NO! I hate that! Eff you!" Just see if you can get some energy to move through your body, some anger to come up and get voiced. A lot of people will do this and they'll be like, "No, no, no," and they're perfectly punching. But you really want to see if you can get yourself to care enough to get angry and to move some of that energy because when you punch and move the energy, it allows it to move in a really safe way.

It's good to start practicing what it's like to move energy, even anger, rage, or sadness, in a way that doesn't hurt anybody. And it certainly doesn't hurt us because we're not keeping it locked inside. For you, it's going to be about tapping it a little bit and letting that flow so that your fifth chakra doesn't have to keep a bottle tight on it. It's like holding back a racehorse, and your fifth chakra is reining it in. "If I start saying what I really feel, I am going to bite people's heads off or something is going to happen!"
