See the best of the Great Barrier Reef at the most exciting time of year!The Dwarf Minke Whale expeditions run through June, July and the first weeks of August. Unlike any other whale experience worldwide the Dwarf Minke’ are unique. In season encounters are regular and entirely initiated by the whale’s themselves. During peak season we have a success rate of achieving in-water interactions of over 90%, lasting up to 2 hours and often longer! Pick up at 7:30am from your city accommodation. You will enjoy two dives on Norman Reef, before transferring to our luxury vessel OceanQuest at approximately 14:30 and then steam overnight to the Ribbon Reefs. Over the next few days you will wake up to stunning sunrises and have the opportunity to participate in 16 dives along the Great Barrier and Ribbon Reefs and travel far north to the infamous Code Hole. Learn to Dive (PADI Open Water) CoursesNo previous experience is necessary. Simply choose your Learn-to-Dive course duration; 4, 5, or 6 magnificent days! Your first 2 days consist of pool and theory training (no accommodation included on these 2 days). The remaining days are spent at sea where you can discover the world underwater. Our inner city training facility boasts six air-conditioned classrooms & Cairns’ ONLY fully covered and heated pool which was purpose built for safe diver training practices.

PADI Advanced CoursesOnce you have experienced diving, don’t be surprised if you become addicted! Our PADI Advanced Course increases your dive knowledge and includes five dives onboard our liveaboard vessel OceanQuest – no classroom sessions or exams!

PADI Rescue Diver CoursesOur PADI Rescue Diver Courses commence every Saturday and are open to all divers qualified to PADI Advanced level or equivalent. Have serious fun while you learn to prevent and manage a wide range of diving related issues, from assisting nervous divers to full rescues.

Queensland Medical StandardsSome medical conditions may preclude you from diving or require a completed dive medical prior to in-water activities. These include but are not limited to a history of asthma/wheezing, brain/spinal cord injury, nervous disorder, chest/lung conditions or surgeries, diabetes, ear surgery, epilepsy, fainting, seizures or blackouts, heart conditions, and certain medications. There are also regulations regarding flying after diving. Please contact us for more information.
