Living sustainable is not just something we say, it is our company vision. We strive to be an industry leader in sustainability and reducing our overall carbon footprint by implementing a variety of energy saving programs, water recycling, and working with local governments and municipalities. In 2011 we introduced our EcoStar material that is made from 75% or more, post-consumer recycled PET. All of our PET stock food packing is made using EcoStar, reducing PET plastic bottles and thermoforms from landfills.

Diverting over 1 billion PET bottles and thermoforms from landfills each year is something we are proud of. We want you to know how many recycled PET bottles went into making your packaging. On each specifications page there is a column with the bottle image (shown above). We are at the cutting edge of environmentally conscious packaging materials with our EcoStar material. EcoStar is a food grade post-consumer recycled PET material that is made from curbside-collected bottles and thermoforms and is 100% recyclable. Commitment to recycling PET by reclaiming plastic bottles and plastic thermoforms and turning them back into consumer packaging, is how we at Placon, make simply, better, packaging. Reuse, recycle and replastic is our vision to get the most out of plastic.

A CLOSED LOOP PROCESSWe take post-consumer PET bottles and thermoform packaging collected from curbsides and turn it into post-consumer recycled plastic sheet in our extrusion facility. We then produce stock or custom food and retail packaging with that post-consumer PET sheet material. Each product made from our EcoStar material is 100% recyclable.

CREATE PROTOTYPESOnce the design is approved, we move to developing prototype tooling which we use to create sample packaging. 3D molds test fit, form and function. Together, we analyze and modify. The prototype packaging is then presented for your approval.

BEGIN PRODUCTIONWhen the packaging meets your final approval, we create the production tooling and, when you are ready, begin creating your product in our production facility.

Tamper Resistant is available in 8 to 32 oz sizes with a tamper resistant, resealable one size fits all tamper resistant lid. Comes in clear or white PP or freezable grade food-safe resin with custom colors, decorating and printing options available. With an easy break away tab that lets you know if it has been tampered with. Let our Tamper Resistant containers do the work to keep your products safe.

Classic line is available in sizes ranging from 8 oz round deli bases to 168 oz tubs with or without plastic handles, and features exceptionally tight seals, easy de-nesting and brilliant custom decoration or printing options. Some products are made to be used within freezer applications, which are designated by “Freezable” on the item listings page. Available in PP and HDPE with recessed or flush lid.

CLASSIC LINE

Our most popular Injection Molded line, the Value line is built for automation efficiencies, making it production ready. “P” models have a stacking shoulder and are more robust to give you a high-performing container that is perfect for hot or cold foods. Available in 7 - 32 oz sizes that come in clear, white with custom colors and freezable options available. This line features one universal lid for purchasing ease.

VALUE LINE

Natural material is slightly less visible than Clear. It provides a clean canvas to display your product messaging and brand, while still allowing your product to be visible.

White material gives you the ability to create product and brand consistency. You no longer have to worry about the product colors being visible as the white material blocks product color to give you a precise billboard for your brand.
