Associated MeetingsAssociated MeetingsAlumni Meetings

Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry Annual MeetingMarch 6 – 8, 2014The Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry was created to give Canadian dentists a forum to voice our needs and express our identity in the world of esthetic dentistry. On the national and international scenes, we have already forged affiliations and alliances with many other esthetic and cosmetic dental groups, and we continue to grow as we offer CAED members international opportunities. The Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry is very pleased to announce the first Regional Meeting of the 2014 program to be held in Vancouver in conjunction with the Pacific Dental Conference from March 6 – 8, 2014. The scientific program includes the following speakers: Pinhas Adar, Joyce Bassett, George Freedman, Howard Glazer, Faye Goldstep, Jack Griffin Jr, George Kirtley, Robert Lowe, Robert Marus, Elliot Mechanic, Gary Radz, Michael Sesemann, Richard Young.

This is a call to all Pacific Dental Conference attendees to consider taking on a key role at the conference by becoming a Host to one of our over 100 speakers. Is there a speaker at the conference whom you would like to meet? Becoming a Host provides a perfect opportunity for you to communicate with your favourite presenter! The PDC has a reputation among speakers for its hospitality and this is mostly due to the Hosts who help make the speaker’s experience in Vancouver a pleasant one. It’s a rewarding experience with some perks! If you agree to be a Host, you will be credited your registration fee following the conference. What exactly does a Host do? Hosts are the liaisons between the Pacific Dental Conference and the speakers and have the prime responsibility to ensure their stay and presentation at our meeting is a positive experience. Duties of a host include:• introducing your speaker at the presentation • monitoring the presentation• accompanying your speaker to breakfast or lunch in the Speaker’s Lounge • thanking the speaker at the end of their presentationA full Host Package is sent to you well in advance of the conference with detailed information on the duties of a Host. In addition to this, the Pacific Dental Conference holds a Host Wine & Cheese Reception just prior to the conference where you will have the opportunity to meet other Hosts, have a tour of the Vancouver Convention Centre and receive a verbal overview of the tasks ahead of you. Interested? Once you have completed the registration process, simply click on the button “Volunteer for Hosting” and follow the instructions. If you have already registered, simply access your existing registration and click on “Volunteering for Hosting”.

This philosophy has continued to foster the growth of the Pacific Dental Conference to the current day.It is with respect that we have dedicated a lecture to honour the experience and expertise that guided the meeting through its developing years.
