Conference registration includes admission to all conference sessions, as well as entrance to the Exhibit Hall and Exhibit Hall events. Hands-On courses require separate registration. Each registrant will also receive a Conference Program on-site, an attendee bag and a Conference At A Glance. Your name badge is your passport to all conference activities and must be worn at all times.

Online registration for the conference will close at midnight Friday, February 21st, 2014 in preparation for opening at the Vancouver Convention Centre. On-site registration will be available at the times listed below, beginning Tuesday, March 4th.If registering by mail, we will accept the enclosed registration form if received in the Pacific Dental Conference office by 4pm Friday, February 21st, 2014. (Pacific Dental Conference 305–1505 West 2nd Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6H 3Y4)The applicable fees will be charged as of the date the form is received by our office. Please note: All registration confirmations are sent by email. To receive a confirmation, please include an email address on your form.

Name badges for Canadian and US attendees will be mailed to all those registered by Friday, February 14th, 2014. Reporting Your CE in British ColumbiaIt is the responsibility of each individual to submit their own CE to their provincial authority.For B.C. Dentists and Certified Dental Assistants (CDAs), continuing education (CE) credits may be accumulated as follows:

1. Hour-for-hour credit (to a maximum of 5 hours) for visiting the exhibits AND/OR2. Hour-for-hour credit for eligible session attendance.

Dentists and CDAs can submit their PDC CE credits online by visiting www.cdsbc.org and logging in with their registration/certification number and password. Registrants can also print and complete an individual CE credit submission form (available at www.cdsbc.org/ce_forms) and email it to [email protected]. Note that some PDC sessions may not be eligible for CE and will be identified under the session write-up in the final conference program. CDSBC reminds dentists and CDAs to be aware of the maximum limits allowed for certain subjects. Please see the College’s Continuing Education Requirements document for complete information.Note: You must attend the conference to be able to receive credits.Attendees Who Require Record of AttendanceRegistrants should consult with their regulatory authorities for CE credit requirements prior to attending the conference. We welcome all Dental Technicians to join us for the full three days of programming and social events at the Pacific Dental Conference March 6-8, 2014 or for the one day of programming on Saturday, March 8, 2014 where the DTABC sessions and exhibition will take place. Is there a speaker at the conference whom you would like to meet? Becoming a Host provides a perfect opportunity for you to communicate with your favourite presenter! The PDC has a reputation among speakers for its hospitality and this is mostly due to the Hosts who help make the speaker’s experience in Vancouver a pleasant one. It’s a rewarding experience with some perks! If you agree to be a Host, you will be credited your registration fee following the conference. What exactly does a Host do? Hosts are the liaisons between the Pacific Dental Conference and the speakers and have the prime responsibility to ensure their stay and presentation at our meeting is a positive experience. Duties of a host include:• introducing your speaker at the presentation • monitoring the presentation• accompanying your speaker to breakfast or lunch in the Speaker’s Lounge • thanking the speaker at the end of their presentationA full Host Package is sent to you well in advance of the conference with detailed information on the duties of a Host. In addition to this, the Pacific Dental Conference holds a Host Wine & Cheese Reception just prior to the conference where you will have the opportunity to meet other Hosts, have a tour of the Vancouver Convention Centre and receive a verbal overview of the tasks ahead of you. CDA/Dentsply Student Clinician Research Program – Table ClinicsThe CDA/DENTSPLY Student Clinician Research Program was introduced in 1971. Since then, the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and DENTSPLY International have worked together to motivate and recognize hundreds of bright young minds to investigate new approaches to a wide array of oral health concerns. Student clinicians present their clinics to a panel of judges in a closed session. The judging session is followed by an open session on Thursday during which student clinicians have to opportunity to present their work to convention delegates. (Location to be announced in final program)DENTSPLY provides all awards and prizes. The first prize is an expense-paid trip to the American Dental Association (ADA) Annual Session, where the student clinician will make his or her winning presentation on a non-competitive basis, as part of the ADA’s scientific program. The second prize is $1,000 cash. All participants receive a certificate of appreciation from CDA and DENTSPLY for their contribution to the table clinic program.
