“About Us”

Pacific Concepts was founded in Seattle in 1987. It was the first company specializing solely in storage solutions for the correctional and hospitality industiries. In the years following, Pacific Concepts’s designs became industry standards in soft storage. Pacific Concepts was the unquestioned leader and was the only company of it’s kind in continuous existence.

Pacific Concepts’s president split off as Specific Bags in 2002 and each was of comparable size.

In 2003, Pacific Concepts was bought by HBD Inc. and moved to North Carolina. In 2007, HBD bought Specific bags and moved it to North Carolilna from Arizona.

HBD Inc. was founded in 1969. It is one of America’a leading suppliers of bags and covers to various industries, governments and the US military. HBD is headquartered in a 33,000 square foot building in Greensboro, North Carolina.

HBD has warehousing, production and printing facilities in Greensboro. Most of it’s Pacific Concepts production is in China, where it has been making products since 1992. HBD has an office near Qingdao, China. HBD and Pacific Concepts also manufacture domestic made products to meet the needs of all customers.

Pacific Concepts is unique in the corrections and hospitality market in warehousing substantial quantities of each of it’s products. Partial or even complete replacement shipments can often be made from stock.

Because of it’s relationships with major US retailers and governmental units, HBD alone offers a level of customer service that includes immediate contact with dedicated customer service people, EDI and barcode capability. Pacific Concepts has regular full-container load shipments scheduled so shipping is guaranteed timely, efficient and cost effective.

Pacific Concepts is a small company so individual attention and quick response is guaranteed. However, Pacific Concepts is also large enough to guarantee the financial, production, warehouse and customer service capacity necessary to satisfy the demands of the largest worldwide companies, militaries and governments.

The Conveyor BagTM

The Conveyor Bag is specifically designed to work with automated conveyor and stationary racking systems. The Conveyor Bag features a zipper that opens along the side and across the top for easy access to contents even while hanging. The Hanging LockerTM

The Hanging Locker by Pacific Concepts is manufactured using high strength, solid vinyl-coated nylon. This easy to clean, mildew resistant bag controls odors and prohibits insect infestation.

Secure Locking SealsSecure Locking Seals can be used to secure lockable garment bags and valuables pouches. Secure Locking Seals are made of polypropylene plastic, the strongest in its class.

• Secure Locking Seals are randomly numbered to provide the greatest security

Hanging Gun BagsBags vs. Boxes: Revolutionize Your Firearm StorageWhat is the comparison between our Hanging Gun Bags and the old style cardboard evidence box? The first issue is always cost, with the cardboard box being about 1/2 the initial cost of a hanging gun bag. This is deceptive because boxes are a one time use item.
