• He was the first child of Don Jose Ruiz y Blasco an art teacher and Maria Picasso.

• At an early age Pablo showed an interest in drawing.

• At the age of 7 Pablo began receiving art lessons from his father.

• By the age of 8 Pablo painted his first picture called:

“El picador”.It was the

starting of a talented career.

• At the age of 16 Pablo studied in the most important Art school :” Madrid’s royal academy of san Fernado”.

• He loved Madrid and enjoyed going to The Prado museum to see paintings by famous Spanish painters. He particularly liked El Greco’s work.

in Paris• In 1900, Picasso

went to Paris. He met Max Jacob, a journalist and poet. Max helped Picasso learn to speak French. He also met many of the famous artists who lived in Paris. In 1905 he become famous thanks to Americans art collectors.

CUBIST MOVEMENT• He and Georges

Braque invented Cubism, a form of painting using simple geometric shapes.

• He is also known for making collages . He created oil paintings, sculpture, drawings, stage designs, tapestries, rugs, etchings, collage, and architecture.
