Early Years • Pablo Picasso was born on
October 25, 1881 in Malaga.• He started painting and
drawing at a very young age.• Picasso’s father recognized
Pablo’s talent at his young age.
• Picasso never finished his studies at the Academy of Arts in Madrid.

Cubism Period In late 1906, Picasso started to paint in a truly revolutionary manner. Inspired by Cezanne, he began to express space in strongly geometrical terms: triangles, squares.
