DC’s MESSAGE FOR THE VIDYALAYA PATRIKA
It is rightly said that “A dream becomes a goal when action is taken towards its achievement”_Bo Bennett.
At KV BEML we are committed in taking constructive actions to produce optimistic, independent, compassionate, dedicated learners and leaders who will bring glory to the School and the Nation.
The year 2018 marked the beginning of an era of creativity and innovation helping children in character building, leadership, extra and co-curricular activities along with academics. Vidya- laya Patrika is a perfect platform that showcases the talents and success the Vidyalaya has achieved during this journey. This is the platform for the students to exhibit their literary tal- ent, channelize their thoughts of creativity, feelings and ideas in a written form .
We appreciate all our students for displaying exceptional hard work in the pursuit of excellence by achieving distinctions in academics and also in the field of Co-Curricular activities.

I was looking at nature outside the window,
I found a small creature eating a minto.
I looked at the trees bending and dancing
& saw a small boy crossing the fencing.
I saw the birds chirping on the ground
& someone climbing on the little mount.
I saw the vehicles moving around,
I looked at the little green grass

I remembered my early days at school,
Where I used to make others fool.
Where I came from the school in the rain,

MISSILE MAN OF INDIA
By:- Vishnu Priya X ‘B’
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Sir , in full Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, [born October 15,
1931, Rameswaram India—died July 27, 2015, Shillong], Indian scientist and politician who
played a leading role in the development of India’s missile and nuclear weapons programs. He
was President of India from 2002 to 2007.
Kalam earned a degree in aeronautical engineering from the Madras Institute of Technology and in
1958 joined the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). He soon moved to the In-
dian Space Research Organisation, where he was project director of the SLV-III, India’s first indige-
nously designed and produced satellite launch vehicle. Rejoining DRDO in 1982, Kalam planned the
program that produced a number of successful missiles, which helped and earned him the nickname
“Missile Man.”
From 1992 to 1997 Kalam was scientific adviser to the defence minister, and he later served as sci-
entific adviser (1999–2001) to the government with the rank of Cabinet Minister. His prominent role
in the country’s 1998 nuclear weapons tests established Kalam as a national hero. Although the
tests caused great concern in the international community. In 1998 Kalam put forward a country-
wide plan called Technology Vision 2020, which he described as a road map for transforming India
from a less-developed to a developed society in 20 years. The plan called for, among other
measures, increasing agricultural productivity, emphasizing technology as a vehicle for economic
growth, and widening access to health care and education.
In 2002 India’s ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) put forward Kalam to succeed outgoing
President Kocheril Raman Narayana. Kalam was nominated by the Hindu nationalist (Hindutva)
NDA even though he was Muslim, and his stature and popular appeal were such that even the main
opposition party, the Indian National Congress , also proposed his candidacy. Kalam easily won the
election and was sworn in as India’s 11th president, a largely ceremonial post, in July 2002. He re-
mained committed to using Science and Technology to transform India into a developed country. In
2007 Kalam left office and was succeeded by Pratibha Patil , the country’s first woman president.
Kalam wrote several books, including an autobiography, Wings of Fire (1999). Among his numerous
awards were two of the country’s highest honours, the Padma Vibhushan (1990) and the Bharat
Ratna (1997).

Swatchh Bharath mission aims at cleanliness. Cleanliness is every-
where, but our honourable Prime Minister , Narendra Modiji , start-
ed this mission on 2nd October 2014, 145th birthday anniversary of
Mahatma Gandhiji to make it more clean. Our Prime Minister
promised that they will make India a clean and green city within
2019. The government has started this Swatchh Bharath mission
everywhere in India. The government has started to develop roads,
sanitation , toilets and many other facilities. This mission has been
appreciated by other people of various continents. This mission is
to make India a clean country. If we keep our surroundings clean
there will be no diseases and other problems . This mission is be-
ing improving day by day. It is implemented in schools, hospitals
and every other place. Cleanliness is indeed next to Godliness. For
example Mysore in Karnataka is a clean place where everyone loves
to go but why can’t we make our place clean and tidy so that every-
one visits my home town Kolar, BEMLNAGAR KGF. I love to live in
the place BEMLNAGAR where there is no stinky place. In future we
all will gather and make our BEMLNAGAR neat and tidy. This mis-
sion helps everyone to keep their surroundings neat and clean, “
Clean city , dream city yahi meri dream city.”
Swatch Bharath Abhiyan is a cleanliness drive aimed to cover 4041 statutory cities and

rat Abhiyan is a cleanliness campaign run by the Government of India and initiated by
the most respected Prime Minister. It is also called Clean India mission or clean India
drive. It is a national level campaign to cover all backward statutory towns to make
them clean. This campaign involves the construction of latrines, promoting sanitation
programmes in rural areas cleaning streets , roads and cleaning the infrastructure of
the countryto lead the country ahead. This campaign was officially launched by the
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji. Under
this campaign delivered by many people. Cleanliness initiative has been started by the
Uttar Pradesh CM (Chief Minister) Yogi Adityanath in Mrch 2017. He has banned chew-
ing paan parak and other tobacco products in the government offices all over Uttar Pra-
desh, Our country needs more 30 years to become like United States of America but if
we develop all roads , buildings and sanitations other things our can be developed even
more earlier.

CLEAN CITY GREEN CITY YAHI MERI DREAM CITY
I love my country and will make my country proud one day. We Indians will
achieve everything in our life. Life is like a question paper , do not waste like a tis-
sue paper. One day we Indians will be in the top that no one could be in the
world. I think Swatchh Bharat campaign will make Indians on top one day and
BEMLNAGAR will surely be a clean town.

ESSAY (BHAVANA.N)
Swachh Bharath “ Clean India Green India” . It was the mission and dream of Mahatma
Gandhiji. He was a freedom fighter with lots of goals and ambitions and his one of the
goal was Swachh Bharat he wanted to see our country as a clean & green country. India
was also ranked 10th position in cleaning. Mahatma Gandhiji also said that “ Nothing
gives a fearful man more courage than & their ‘s fear “ . But our flag rises high in the sky
because our Prime Minister Shri Nrandera Modi has launched Swachh Bharath Abhiyan
in the month of October 2nd . In order to fulfill our dream as well as of Mahatma Gandhiji
our Prime Minister had launched Swachh Bharath Abhiyan. Swachh Bharath Abhiyan
means a step forward to clean our India . We are very proud to be an Indian because we
can step forward & clean our India. It is our India green & clean. Our country is lke a
motherland why cannot we come forward to clean our motherland (India). On October 2nd
our honourable Prime Minister had cleaned all the places & also said that every one has
the right to keep our India clean& green. On this day in many schools, hospitals , homes
they keep the surroundings green & clean. Not only on this day, everyday we should clean
our class rooms, houses etc. (On mothers day only we should love mother. Why cannot we
love our mother everyday)) like this only we should keep our surroundings clean & green.
Everyday we should not be so careless like if anyone throws a paper on the surroundings
(like ground, park, classrooms etc) if we see the paper and we should pick the paper and
throw it in the dustbin and we should always advice our classmates etc not to throw the
papers on grounds etc & we should always use dustbins in order to throw the papers in
thast not only to keep clean in our surroundings we should also be clean & neat. If we
cannot clean our surroundings we can get diseases like malaria, typhoid etc. If we don’t
clean our surroundings the will be chances for mosquitoes to breed & hence forth we should
clean. Even we should see that our rivers, dams are protected. Our one of our river Ganga had
been polluted from plastic, human waste, animal wastes etc. Who is responsible for this. We are
only responsible for this . If Ganga river had not been polluted it can be used by the farmers to
irrigate their land. If they irrigate their land they can ensure good crop has been grown. We should
protect all this land, rivers etc. If it is polluted we are the one who is going to face more and more
problem. We should step forward & clean. We should avoid using plastic bags because it is very
acidic and it is very harmful for us. Instead of using plastic bags we should use jute bags etc.
There should also be program’s that gives awareness about Swachha Bharat mission so that peo-
ple change their habits & clean their surroundings neat and clean.
We should always think positive . In cleaning our mother land. If we be careless &
think that why should we clean it will affect us. Instead of facing more & more prob-
lems we can protect ourselves by cleaning our mother land. We should advice our jun-
iors how to keep our surroundings clean & green. They are the kings & queens of the
future generation who are going to lead our country so if we advice them not to be care-
less in cleaning our mother land they prove themselves as a good citizen for the future
generation. We have rights to clean our country. Not only to clean our surroundings we
should also clean our body etc. We should always be physically , mentally & clean our
country. India has lots of natural features & make it colorful. If we clean our sur-
roundings we can get a positive feeling make a man perfect. This enriches some happy
feeling in his/her’s life & sudden automatically the work will be done.
A man with lots of dreams makes him perfect . so dreams of on Swachh Bharath to be-
come perfect. This programme gives us importance’s & information’s about cleaning
our India we can know more about that. The awareness of Aswachh BHarth Abhiyan
should be taken in villages also. We should always advice villagers , people etc to clean
their surroundings . The awareness also should be pass on school going children’s,
teachers etc. so that they come to know what is this mission & also should advice
teachers to appoint the Swachh childrens in their classrooms. If this awareness is use-
ful to us then why cannot we can follow this. This was a dreams of Mahatma Gandhiji
he wanted to see India clean& green. Even he had fought with British to make our
country Independence. He had struggled a lot to give independence for our country
then why we cannot fulfill his dreams. If he was not there imagine about India. So we
should respect him & his great sacrifice , hard work . come lets put our hand & unit
other to clean our India. “ Arise awake & stop not till the goal is reached “. Come for-
ward a step forward to clean our India.
