PA2.1 can perform Strength Design calculations using edge distances > 1.75”.
Users must understand that a reduced installation torque is required.

Users can input edge distance values < the cmin values given in the
Concrete Breakout Design Tables of the ESR.
Edge distances < cmin will be highlighted in red on the PA2.1 main screen.
Parameters highlighted in red indicate no calculations can be made yet.

Read the Results pane.
The X indicates that there is an edge distance violation.

Read the Messages pane.
Go to the Anchor Layout tab and check the box for Reduced Installation Torque.
The value will change to black and calculations can now be made.

The Tool Tip for Reduced Installation Torque reminds users of the conditions
associated with inputting edge distance values < the value for cmin in the ESR.
