Objectives:Design a logo in IllustratorSketch, design wireframe and mock up of a websiteWork in InDesign and Photoshop
Process:For this project, I created a website design for a skateboard shop. I started with a monochromatic color scheme of red, grey and black. I sketched and designed a logo in Adobe Illustrator. Then I designed a website layout using Photoshop. My first step was to create a wireframe of the design using the 960 grid layout. Then I added the design and colors to create a mock up of what the website would look like once developed. I created several graphics for the design in Illustrator and brought them into the design. The design used New Times Roman as the headlines and Arial, sans serif fonts for the body copy.

Objectives:
Design and take a photo to go with a quote that you like.Choose a color scheme to go with the photo.Make a photodesign in Photoshop that brings together the quote and photo for a pleasing design.
Process:
I started this photodesign by brainstorming of a fun photo to take. I decided to create a design around the Tom Sawyer book and a quote from the author. I took a photo of my 4 year old reading the book and edited it in Photoshop. Then I pulled colors from the photo to create an analogous color scheme of blue and green. I added the quote, using color, font size and font weight to create a visual hierarchy on the page. I made sure there was sufficient padding around the wording and flow through the placement of elements on the page.

Objectives:
Create a Montage by blending two or more photos togetherWork in Adobe Photoshop
Process:
I started by collecting photos that followed the theme I wanted to follow with my montage. The message that I was trying to get across was the responsibility we hae to serve those around us. I overlaid the main photo with a celestial cloud image in Photoshop and blended them into each other. I used a Droid serif font and paired it with a Bebas Neue font to add emphasis to the quote. I paid special attention to the leading and font size to create interest in the quote. The connection between the two people in the image creates a great focal point to base the blending of the celestial image around.

Design a logo in IllustratorCreate a matching business card and stationery design with good layout and flow.Work in InDesign and Illustrator
Process:
After creating a logo and business card in Illustrator, I created a matching letterhead to go with it. I enlarged the diamond and lowered the opacity on it to create a watermark on the letterhead. My favorite part of the design is the tiled pattern of the diamond that was placed on the back of the letterhead. I think it added a level of professionalism to the whole design.

Sketch three logos with different designs and color schemesCreate the designs in Adobe IllustratorWork in Adobe Illustrator
Process:
I decided to create my logos for a made up company called Raintree Productions. Raintree roductions is a film company. I brainstormed and sketched designs to use for the logos that symbolised what they did in an artistic way. From there, I brought my favorite designs into Adobe Illustrator and created logos in three different color schemes. I used a variety of fonts to create different styles for the logos. I used colors from nature to symbolize growth, life and prosperity. The symbolism between water droplets and trees follow that theme. The first logo is using an analogous theme of teal and green. The second logo uses and monochromatic color scheme of orange and white. The final logo is created with a complementary color scheme of teal and brick.
