Description:This is a ier/ad for a track day fund raiser for cancer.

Programs/Tools:Word

Date:October 11, 2015

Course/Instructor:Jason Stucki, Comm 130 Visual Media

Objectives:Find, scan and import a high-quality image. Create a full-bleed

design. Use text boxes for layout in Word. Insert and edit

images in Word.

Process:I started with the image. I sized and cropped it for a full bleed,

and then found a styling option in the settings that removes

shades from the image. This nal one shows 6 shades. I then

worked on adding the title and the information. Spent a good

deal of time mimicking the tone of the shell logo’s colors for

the title and subtitle. Added the ‘provided by’ information. And

lastly the less important but potentially interesting information

in low contrast under the car.

Description:Web Developer convention/conference

Programs/Tools:Illustrator and InDesign

Date:December 6, 2015

Course/Instructor:Jason Stucki, Comm 130 Visual Media

Objectives:Set up and align a two-sided, folded document. Learn how to

wrap text around an image. Use paragraph styles in InDesign.

Process:I started with a decent template but modied it heavily to t the

content and the Logo I designed. The color scheme seemed to

t well. It didn’t initially have orange throughout the document,

it was only in the logo, and that caused some issues, so I

changed some of those segments to be orange to make sure

the colors balanced out.

Description:A personally taken photograph that has been edited using

Photoshop and combined with a quote keeping a color scheme

Programs/Tools:Photoshop

Date:December 12, 2015

Course/Instructor:Jason Stucki, Comm 130 Visual Media

Objectives:Learn basic photography skills. Use a digital camera to take

a quality image, then download it. Size and crop the image.

Adjust image brightness, contrast, hue and saturation levels.

Use a selection tool to isolate a portion of the image.

Process:I found this photo to be my best option, I used the selection

tool to grab what I needed, and began adjusting the levels,

curves, and other aspects. I used the color picker to grab a

color o of the tractor and modied it slightly for the words to

keep a color scheme.

Description:A web page designed to showcase a personally created logo.

Programs/Tools:Illustrator, SublimeText 3, Firefox, Chrome HTML5, and CSS3.

Date:November 22, 2015

Course/Instructor:Jason Stucki, Comm 130 Visual Media

Objectives:Size and optimize an original logo as a .png for a web page.

Write content to describe the process of creating your logo and

how it appeals to a target audience. Design a web page using

HTML to display a logo and content.

Process:I already create websites, this one was very minimal. I left the

colors as fairly neutral, and easy to read, while adding little

accents for the main color from the logo. The CSS was simple,

just colors and alignments with simple font-family declarations

 – no special or custom fonts.
