Have you ever heard of the word ‘bored’ before? What do you think it

means?

Being bored is when you feel tired and impatient because you have lost interest in something or you have nothing to do.

Read how these children have stopped themselves being bored:

Think about some of the things you enjoy doing or some of the hobbies and clubs you are or were part of. How could you

adapt them to do at home?

One of the children mentioned learning something new stops her from being

bored. Can you think of anything you might like to learn to do e.g. gardening, cooking, knitting, speak a foreign language?

Make a list of your ideas so you can come back to them if you are feeling bored!

When we are bored, we can start to feel a bit negative and grumpy

Lots of people are feeling bored at home.How can you help them?

One idea is to write them a letter. On the next slide is a plan to help you.

Paragraph 3 – think about what you miss about the person you are writing to and tell them. Share the things you like about them and remind them of a special time you spent together.
