2. An attribute is the personal characteristic thatemployers expect you to have. There are different kinds of attributes that can besummarized into three different categories such asspecific job attribute, general job attributes andattitudes 3. When applying for a job the employer looks for specific job attributes that relate to the job itself, this will usually be written down in the job description. 4. Health and safety is one of the most crucial job attributes because they ensure that you are in a safe environment. There are two Acts that are vital which are the Health and Safety Act 1974 and The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. Both Acts sets out the legal responsibilities of both employees and employers surrounded by the working environment. Once being appointed specific companies or businesses have other health and safety procedures that they will teach in case of emergencies and how you go about controlling these emergencies. 5. Once being appointed the job there will be specificprocedures that your employer will teach you, as aemployee you will need to learn the working proceduresthat involve your job, doing this correctly and following theprocedure will ensure a good first impression on you for theemployer but not following procedures will have a badimage on you. Examples of working procedures is flexitime, this means that employers are allowed to choosewhen they start and when they finish I have this at where Iwork as I am allowed the opportunity to work whenever Iwant , there can be times where the business is really busyso you will be required to work extra hours if you want to.Timesheets are very crucial as they show the amount ofhours you have worked within a specific time period butthis is usually within a month. 6. All businesses have information about their employeesthus making it sensitive and very confidential. Businessesask for employers to sign a non disclosure agreement whichmeans that employees are not allowed to share workinformation or procedures outside of work. Furtherbusinesses may use physical or logical security methods toensure that data and information are not stolen, physicalsecurity methods can be locks and alarms for examplewhere I work all employers are not allowed to go into themain office without being told to do so but also there arelocks on the doors of the main office in order to preventpeople from going, this makes harder for data orinformation to be lost or stolen. An example of logicalsecurity methods would be encryption protocols andpassword protection. 7. There are many general attributes that employers lookfor in potential employees depending on what the jobis. If you have the ability to show these skills you will be afavourable candidate for the job. 8. Employers look to see how organised or how well planned you are. For example at the place I work I am required to be on time with all of my uniform such as my hat and apron, small things like this can make the big difference for your future in the organisation. 9. Being able to work well with others is very crucial inany business or organisation. Having this is veryimportant as it shows that you are able to share ideasbut also listen to others when they arecontributing, when working with others it is vital toremember that the position you play is a key part inthe overall success of the business. 10. Time management is crucial because by having good time management it means you are sensible about what you are going to achieve. Time management relates with organisational skills because if you are organised you can meet deadlines within the time period that it has to be completed for. Also being work on time is very crucial because if your not on time it shows you have no interest for the business and can lead to you being sacked. 11. Work attitudes are different kinds of behaviours that are favoured by employers. If you can show that you are able use some of the different behaviours employers will think that this person is very serious about work and wants to succeed in life. 12. This is your strength of mind to achieve or succeed inyour job. This drives you to achieve what you want withoutfailing for example being able to get a Distinction forICT this year. 13. All employers need to know that their employees can work on their own with very little supervision, although there will be a manager around at all times they are not required to spoon feed you and help you with everything for example where I work we have several managers but I am required to work on my at my station with very little help. 14. This means that you are trustworthy and are able to work on your own with very little supervision. You will have to be very reliable in many situations such as the quality of your work when on your own, how quick it takes you to finish a task on your own and the willingness to help the organisation meet its goals.
