About Us
• Founded in January 2011• Serves all six New England states• Currently have over 70 chapter members• Established website at www.negap.net

• Plan to hold regional gatherings, conferences, webinars, and more
PRESIDENT
Marcus Hanscom
• Associate Director of Graduate Recruitment and Outreach, University of New Haven
• Goals: – Increasing regional
interaction– Growing membership in
NEGAP & NAGAP– Providing resources to
strengthen our [email protected]
VICE PRESIDENT
Kathy Dilks
• Director of Graduate Admissions, Sacred Heart University
• Goals:– Serve as Program Chair for
NEGAP meetings and activities
– I am looking forward to helping increase awareness and enrollment within NEGAP
– Help to provide the best programming possible at conferences.
TREASURER
Christine Williams
• Associate Director of Admission, Graduate School of Library and Information Science, Simmons College
• Goals:– Investigate fiscal
processes of other chapters
– Set up account(s) for chapter expenses
– Determine what chapter fees will be charged, if any
SECRETARY
Jamie Satter
• Graduate Admissions Coordinator, Salem State University
• Goals:– Records – take and
distribute minutes, maintain historical documents
– Communication – establish distribution lists, send regular communications
– Membership – maintain membership list, increase membership
Membership Initiatives
• Current membership– 75 members from five of six New England states. MA (49), CT
(20), NH (3), RI (2), ME (1), VT (0). – Expansion Ideas:
• Graduate fair fliers• State Membership Coordinators• Identify schools without NEGAP members• Regular communications about NEGAP membership
– Also want to work/partner with other regional chapters including NYGAP (New York) and CAGAP (Canada).
• Membership survey– Survey will be going out late September and results will be
presented at the NEGAP conference on November 18
Chapter-Wide Activities
• Participate in the 25th anniversary celebration of NAGAP – April 2012
• Semi-annual chapter meeting events: November and April
• Networking events in conjunction with area fairs• Webinars• Research resources on the website
