Purpose: to provide a mechanism for transferring the accumulated career knowledge and experience of senior officer mentors to junior officer protégés to support their career development, professional growth, retention

Contact protégé within 2 weeks of receiving notification from CCDMP of pairing Become familiar with and discuss the topics on the checklist (see Appendix A) Assist protégé in developing his/her individual development plan (see

Appendix B) Interaction with the protégé a minimum of one time per month Be responsive to the learning needs of the protégé and be sensitive to the

time and energy needed for a successful mentoring relationship Contact the CCDMP Chair at the earliest opportunity for any assistance that

the mentor need or if any areas of conflict develop Return the 3 month and 12 month Evaluation Surveys within the designated

deadlines with constructive feedback to further facilitate program development
