  • 2 In 1985, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) initiated The Procurement Technical Assistance Cooperative Agreement Program in order to increase competition for small businesses to sell products and services to the Department of Defense (DoD). PTACs are the bridge between the buyer and supplier. We assist companies compete for all levels of government contracts - Federal, State and Local, including Schools & Universities. There are PTACs in every state, comprising over 300 local offices, and forming a nationwide network of procurement professionals to help businesses compete successfully in the government marketplace.

  • The purpose of the Indiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is to generate employment and improve the general economic condition of the state by assisting Indiana companies including those eligible for preferential consideration in obtaining and performing under local, state and federal government contracts. PTAC exists to help Indiana businesses market their products and services to the federal and state governments.

  • Currently Managed by Partners In Contracting Corporation (PICC) a Not for Profit based in Hammond Indiana June 1 2014 the State of Indiana will begin managing the PTAC under the Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (OSBE) and PICC will dissolve Historically concentrated in Northern Indiana Upon transition the PTAC will expand and become a state-wide program Presented by PTAC5
