Bangladesh- in spite of being a country of third world, awareness and variety of career

planning of its university graduates is to be marked. Though Bangladesh is a developingcountry, in recent time, new promising employment sectors are increasing and it opens the

door of career opportunity and development for thousands of graduates.

In the era of globalization, Multinational companies are expanding their business throughout

the world and as usual different corporate organizations enter our country and they pave the

way of career development of graduates. They create career opportunity and provide high

salary and social status which is expected by the graduates. Bangladesh has immense

development in information technology. IT sector is one of the advancing sectors of career

opportunity and career development for university graduates, For example we have noticed

university students interest about Computer Science & Engineering and Information

Technology sector. With the increasing of EPZ creates a career opportunity for universitygraduates. Garments industries are increasing in significant rate and it is also a promising

sector for career development. Now a day Real Estate Business has emerged with new

prospects and it also increases demand of creative architect. So significant amount of students

choose their career as an architect, and it also persuade a student to be entrepreneur, self -

dependent and creative. In recent years fresher business entrepreneur has emerged in business

sector which is really praise worthy. We noticed immense growth rate of Private Bank, it has

opened career opportunity for students who read in Business administration.

We notice advancement of Industrialization in private sectors and it provides career

opportunity for those students who read in subjects of Applied Science especially in

Industrial Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering & Polymer Science, Civil &

Environmental Engineering etc.Food & Beverage industry are gradually increasing in

Bangladesh, students of Food &Tea Technology department has advantage about career

planning and development.

Different websites and daily newspapers supply information about career opportunity in our

country. They suggest ambitious students about career planning. They publish opinions &

suggestions of successful business leader, industrialist and business magnet. They give

guidelines to new entrepreneurs, notify most promising career sector, and encourage them to

step forward.
