Examples of Paragraph Alignment
Align Left example:¶The left edge of the paragraph is aligned along the left margin or indent. The paragraph's right edge appears ragged.¶
Center example:¶Both sides of the paragraph are equidistant from left and right
margins or indents. Both the left and right edges of the paragraph appear
ragged.¶
Align Right example:¶The right edge of the paragraph is aligned along the right margin or indent. The paragraph's left edge
appears ragged.¶
Justify example:¶Both sides of the paragraph are evenly aligned along the left and right margins or indents. The paragraph's left and right edges are not ragged. Word adjusts the spacing between words so that they stretch from the left margin or indent to the right margin or indent. When the last line of a justified paragraph is short, however, it won’t be stretched.¶
