Lily is gazing out of the door thoughtfully. Lily isstanding at the door looking out. Her face shows that she isfeeling depressed and worried. She places her head into herhands as if she is going to cry.

LILY (V.O)Its another grey day but Im notgoing to let this weather ruin theway I feel.

Lily walks into the kitchen. The kitchen is a complete messwith unwashed plates and rubbish scattered everywhere. Thefood is mouldy and the bottle caps are not screwed onto thebottles.

Lilys mum is laying spread out across the sofa in dirtypyjamas smoking a cigarette. Her hair is not brushed, thereare needles and A class drugs lined up on the side tablenext to her. Lilys mum still doesnt respond to her.

LILYMum, are you there? (Lily shoutsfrom the kitchen)

Lily walks into the front room and sees her mum. Sheshakes her mums body as if to wake her up but her mum onlyresponds with a moan.

LILY (V.O)Dont let the looks deceive you;our family are usually prettyclose. When mums back on her feetand dad stops travelling we will beback to normal again. Infact,things couldnt get any better.

She throws the pregnancy test on the floor and storms out ofthe toilet, leaving the test behind.
