What I Wish I Had Known
• You can’t convert everyone• Proving your value is essential• Take pictures and journal progress regularly• It’s okay to mooch • Having a mentor is a must• Word of mouth advertising is the best type• You will feel like an island
Our Advice
• Network• Keep a record of what you do• Communicate regularly• Align with the administration• Join school improvement councils or other groups• Make friends with custodians & secretaries• Get out of the LMC as much as possible• Have a “can-do” attitude – don’t whine• Wear comfortable clothes & shoes
