Stage 1 had a wonderful STEM day with Mr Kilby on Thursday. Classes
enjoyed learning about different animal traits and designing an animal
for the class zoo. They then transformed their blue bots into animals.
Students programmed their blue bot with an algorithm to move around
the zoo and visit other animals.
Congratulations to Max Reid (20th), Maddison Martin (25th) and Billy Headley (26th) and all the other
students who competed at Western Cross Country at Geurie. A huge thanks to Mrs Kilby for being the school
representative and all the parents who supported their children.
Tomorrow Year Six students will be attending a STEM day at The Henry Lawson High School as part of their
transition process. A separate information note went home last week.
Staff will be participating in a Professional Learning Evening on Tuesday night. Janet Westcott (Literacy and
Numeracy Consultant) will be presenting the valuable training.
Next week we have Police Liaison Officer (Young) Constable Kentwell giving a talk on Bullying to all students.
There will be two sessions K-2 and 3-6.
You can never rely on a roster to have everyone’s name on it. I also want to thank Jenny Schneider, Tania
Mooney, Rick Power and Tamara Ingrey who also spent some time at the Henry Lawson Festival assisting with
the Donut stall. Your help is greatly appreciated. The Donut stall is a wonderful fund raiser but requires lots of
hands. I enjoyed my time throwing some cinnamon sugar on the donuts.
Our Whole School Assembly will commence
at 12.15pm this Friday 21st June.

We've had another wonderful week in the kitchen celebrating
Asian cuisine. We had 2/3 Indigo, 2 Orange and 4 Violet
cooking up a storm. These guys, incredibly produced 3
beautiful meals including sticky chicken stir fry with crispy
noodles, sweet and sour pork and beef stir fry.
Cutting skills and balancing flavours were 2 important skills
learnt this week. Students enjoyed watching the rice noodles
expand magically in the hot oil to create texture in our dishes.
Well done everyone.
Our PBL Focus Area for this week is: Toilets and Bubblers
