Our Visionaries
Drishkone, Vol. 1 1
Dear students
"We cannot always build the future for our youth. But we can build our youth for the future."
These words perfectly describe our aim at Tiksha Public School. We wish to provide our
students a holisc learning experience for life. Our aim is to teach the students to LEARN not
just STUDY. We understand that future is abstract and unknown but the youth in our hands are
real and can be moulded.
Dear students, you are the naon-builders, you are the harbingers of change, the movers of
technology. It is our fervent hope that the years that you spend here, would enable you to
equip with leadership and managerial skills. The knowledge that you gain, the fine qualies
that you imbibe and the technical skills that you learn here, will be your major contribuon to your parents, to society
and to the naon.
Best Wishes!
Ms. Ritambhra ChauhanChairperson
Tiksha Public School is an instute which strives to provide its students a wide range of
learning opportunies in all spheres of growth. Towards achieving this goal, it is providing
value based quality educaon. The latest modern techniques coupled with strong cultural
values enable our students to be globally compeve yet humane. It is impossible to fail if
you dare to try as IMPOSSIBLE itself says ”I M POSSIBLE”. With the same confidence and
determinaon, we the teachers, students and all other members of Tiksha family are
moving ahead towards our common goal of total development of personality of the child.
A school magazine is the convergence of all the acvies and achievements of the school.
We are proud of these achievements but sll much more is to be achieved.
Let the DRISHTIKONE imbibe right DrishKone in our life.
Mr. S. C. Sachdev(Manager)
Dear students
" You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great."
When we menon educaon, it weaves a simple picture in our minds of a student learning
and a teacher teaching; but educaon is BEYOND the classical paper-pencil-blackboard
theory. It has evolved into the giant wheel that has many spokes such as personality
development, me management, compeng beyond boundaries etc. At Tiksha , we have
strived hard to impart quality educaon to the children who seek excellence in their pursuit
for an indomitable career.
Along with the academic excellence and vast sports opportunies, we provide our students with an exposure to
the realies of the world. We sculpt them into compeve, empathec, opmisc individuals who strive to
succeed in every challenge they are faced with.
With such qualies imbibed within them, our students are bound to 'Arise, awake, ascend to greater heights and
a prosperous tomorrow’.
Good Luck!

MESSAGES
Dear students,
Today is a new day, what can you do with it? The trials of yesterday are behind you. A new school day dawns, and with it comes possibilies. Chances for success, empathy, and discovery are abundant. Inspiraon is everywhere you look. The opportunity to be beer than you were yesterday is right here, right now. You aren't defined by your failures, you're empowered by them.
Eric Thomas claims, "When you want to succeed as badly as you want to breathe, then you'll be successful." When we pursue something that means more to us than anything, we'll care more than most others do.
So what do we say about pursuing success? It will be hard, it will be exhausng, and somemes it will be lonely, but it will be worth it. If you want it bad enough, you'll never give up though the worst goes before you. So, Get Up and taste success!
"Great things begin with small acons". One of the world's greatest humanitarians was Mother Teresa. Great as she was, even she cauoned, "We can do no great things, only small things with great love." Tackling too much at one me is a recipe for disaster. So start small. Begin at the beginning and make a great change one step at a me.
"I'm always here to help you, but you've got to take the lead."
The teacher is no longer the gatekeeper of all knowledge. Their role has switched to guide, assistant, and enabler of student potenal. You must know that they are there for support and for guidance. The responsibility for learning and succeeding, however, is sll yours.
"You're not alone". The Persian poet Rumi told us, "Stop acng like the wolf, and let the shepherd's love fill you." Young students carry the weight of the world on themselves. In troubling mes, it's easy for them to feel like no one has ever felt the way they do, and never can.
That's understandable, of course. They haven't lived long enough and witnessed enough of others' suffering to learn that it's oen universally shared experience. Nevertheless, this is the me for them to become aware that empathy and understanding are within arm's reach. Again, it comes down to the student feeling safe enough to open up. As teachers, that's our mission.
Godspeed!
Principal
Ms. Vimmi Jolly

"Fear always springs from ignorance."
A perennial river connues to move ahead with strength, determinaon, speed and precision. It waits or stops for none. The river carries along, the minerals and elements that can flow and rejoice the movement leaving back the tough and the immovable.
Let us be this perennial river, forever!
Let us carry the strength, belief and trust with focus and determinaon and leave back procrasnaon, intolerance and biases.
Only if We promise to change today, we shall be able to change The tomorrow!

Dear students,
What is Luck? Why are only some people lucky in this big world? They get good marks in examinaon, they are recognized by all, appreciated for their endeavors. Their parents, teachers and friends love them. Why only some are like that, why not all?
Have you ever pondered over the fact what makes them different from rest of their peer group. Grass may appear greener on the other side, one might think that bounes given by God are for others only but the basic truth is-
LUCK is the sense to recognize an opportunity and the ability to take advantage of it.
Everybody has had breaks, but the one who can smile at his breaks and grabs his chances gets one.
Happy Reading…….

"Success comes to those who work hard
and stays with those who don't rest on
the laurels of the past."
Innocence, joy, fervour, vitality and
unlimited creave urge devoid of worry
are the main characteriscs of childhood
which should be properly channelized. It
has been our endeavor at Tiksha Public
School to cater to an acvity oriented
curriculum in which every student is able
to blossom into a complete and well balanced individual both
physically, mentally and socially. The students are exposed to
plethora of acvies and stage presentaons which help them not
only to gain confidence but also to acquire qualies of discipline,
responsibility, oneness and sense of belonging. We pride ourselves
to help them grow and develop into sensive and responsible
cizens of the next generaon. Teamwork is the hallmark of TPS.
A commied staff and co-operave parents blend harmoniously to
create a child centric school. We are sure that through collecve
efforts, we can work wonders to benefit our students.
STEERING THE SHIP
Dear Students,
Lets talk about the importance food
holds in our life. As there is a saying,
"What you put in, is what you get out".
Good nutrion is important for living a
healthy life but mostly we are ignorant
about our nutrional requirements and
make decisions on basis of the taste of
certain foods which results in poor
weight management and health problems. Also it is the case of
poor concentraon towards both studies and sports.
Studies have proved that with good nutrion we excel in any
acvity, be it studies or sports.
"Eat the rainbow" is the phrase used by researchers to help
remind us that students have to focus on green veggies and fruits
as they provide the nutrients to growing bodies and results in
beer memory, alertness and faster informaon processing due
to which we get beer grades and performance in both studies
and sports.
So, eat well and live well....

Educaon means a lot in our life as it facilitates our learning,
knowledge & skill. It completely changes our mind and
personality and helps us to aain a posive atude. We must
have targets in our life as it is the only source of real happiness in
our life. And remember: Educaon is not just about going to
school & geng a degree. It's about widening your knowledge

This Winter
This winter I have enjoyed a lot, not painng towards a parcular dot.
Lots of cold and ice in mind, sweaters and jackets of every kind.
Cold icy winds all around, searching for whom in this town?
No one is out in this winter, scared of winds coming even nearer.
I am searching for a warmer spot, but this winter I have really
enjoyed a lot.

Save Environment
Environmental problems like deforestaon, polluon and
sanitaon are becoming universal. They have to be handled
firmly. If they are not handled immediately, then the
consequences will be disastrous.
The problems are a result of populaon pressure and growing
economic needs of our society. They are a result of poverty and
lack of development. Lack of environment safeguard, results in
polluon of air, water, soil, depleon of ozone layer, global
warming and acid rain. There is a wide gap between awareness
and acon towards environment protecon.
To overcome these problems, the world has to act as a global
community. A new global threat is deserficaon, it is the
reducon of land's biological potenal resulng in appearance of
desert condion. This is due to the combined pressure of
unfavorable climac condions created by the acon of nature
or by man. As nature provides enough for man's need but too
lile for man's greed.

There is no reason, there is no excuse, Child labour is Child abuse !
Children as we all know are like new flowers with a powerful
fragrance for any naon. However some people destroy the
future of a country by illegally involving minors into hard labour
and various other jobs not meant for them, thereby destroying
their future. Children are the blooming buds for any Naon, who
if shown the right path can blossom into individuals who can
bring laurels for a country. But due to some unforeseen
circumstances they are forced to work before their appropriate
age of adulthood and they have to start working at a very early
age to meet the expenses of their family. It is the right of every
child to grow within a happy and suitable environment for which
governments run various welfare schemes for children so that
such children are not forced to work to maintain the economical
balance of their family.

POSITIVE DISCIPLINE- HOW TO HANDLE TEMPER TANTRUMS You are shopping with your toddler in a busy departmental store. The child has spied a toy that you
don't intend to buy. Suddenly you are at the center of a gale- force temper tantrum. Everyone is
looking at you!
Wonder what is the best response and how can you avoid such situaons? Let us first understand
what tantrums are and why they occur?
A tantrum is the expression of a young child's frustraon with the challenges of the moment. It is
the emoonal equivalent of a summer storm- sudden and somemes fierce, but oen over as
quickly as it starts. Temper tantrums are normal, age typical challenges.
Is there any parent who hasn't felt complete and uer love for their toddlers and, at the same me
frustraon and anger? Our beloved lile ones test our nerves because they are tesng boundaries all around them. Every day, lile by
lile, they are mastering new skills, and are anxious and excited to use them.
Somemes it is tough to reel in a toddler, but it can be done. And seng rules and limits now- when your child is learning what behaviors
are acceptable, will help prevent bigger problems down the road.
A very important 'Posive Discipline' way is 'Connecon before Correcon'. It means that we cannot really influence children in a
posive way unl we create a connecon with them. Punishment does not create connecon, nor do lectures, nagging, scolding,
blaming or shaming.
Rescuing, fixing and over- protecng are not good ways to make a connecon. Effecve connecons are made when both child and adult
feel belonged and significant, even though it is the adult who takes the first step. It is interesng to note that all of the tools for
connecons oen create correcon without doing anything else. A very important method for correcon is to 'involve' children, to
name just a two, are family meengs and joint problem solving. These are very powerful tools that respecully involve children to learn
and use their personal power in contribung ways. They are all designed to create a connecon before respecul correcon.
To conclude, I would say "Remember that the most important thing is not your child's behavior. The most important thing is your child.
Look beyond behavior and connect with your child."
