with personalized embroidered name, engraved wood grain crown box valued at $90.00, designer trophy, rhinestone princess pin, a gift certificate for formal wear, flowers, magnetic car signs, and a bicycle. She will have usage of the Overall Mini Supreme PONC Cape to wear during her title reign. Scholarship: Cash $300.00 Overall Supreme Princess of North Carolina: Contestants age 7 & up may compete for The Overall Supreme title. The contestant

Tickets: No advance tickets. Admission Friday $15.00 ages 12 & under. Admission Friday Adult age 13-Up 20.00 (All day passes) Saturday: Admission $20.00 ages 12 & under. Adults 13 & Up $25.00 (All day pass). Credit cards accepted for additional fee.

Scores: Can be picked up at the auditor’s table following crowning. All judges’ decisions are final. Our preliminary pageants provide a

comment section to help prepare for state. The state pageant will provide scores from the judges but no comments will be given. At no time during the pageant should contestants/guardians approach a judge, doing so may result in immediate disqualification. Deadline: Paperwork and deposits must be made by the postmarked deadline! May be extended for 1 week, however, a $100.00

late fee will be applied. Deposits: NOTE: If a contestant enters another system and wins a binding title, PONC will transfer $250.00 to be used as a deposit toward the 2021 state pageant. These winners must notify us within 48 hours. *Disclosure: We must have at least 50 paid contestants for queens cash scholarships to be presented.

(Exception: Overall cash awards, WILL be given regardless the number of entries.)

Modeling: No free style glitz modeling is allowed at PONC (example: no twisty walks). The front X’s onstage require a step turn / or

circle turns. (Please READ Physical Fitness walk format) Registration: August 6th Paramount Theatre (Please Do Not Be Late!) Each contestant will receive a packet, which includes

their contestant number, two night party tickets, program book, and chaperone ID pass. Contestants need to turn in photogenic picture, and talent CD. Registration will be held at the Paramount Theatre. Registration will begin at 9:00 Baby; Wee 9:30; Tiny 10:00; Little & Jr.1:00; and Young, Teen and Miss 2:00 After deadline, times may vary. Rehearsal: August 6th: Paramount Theatre, Located 139 S. Center St., Goldsboro, NC 27530. Walk & Talent Rehearsals Baby 9:30

– 10:00; Wee 10-10:30; Tiny 10:30-11:30; State Queens 11:30-12:30 Lunch State Queens 12:30 to 1:30pm - Little & Junior Miss 1:30-2:30; Young, Teen & Miss 2:30PM until. Contestants will be allowed one practice only. After deadline, times may vary. If there is a time change, you will be notified. your favorite toppings and all you can eat and drink!!! (Wear your PJ’s or something comfy. It’s time to relax and have some fun). Contestants FREE, all others attending $8.00 per person. Location: Holiday Inn Express & Suites Banquet Room Ground Floor. Party Time! We are having a “Sundae Hat and Ice Cream Sundae Social”: Party # 2 Friday, 6:30PM August 7th. It’s summertime,

put on your favorite hat and decorate your very own ice cream sundae with your favorite toppings! Summertime also means games, dancing and fun surprises! After the indoor party is over, you can take a dip in the pool if you choose. Hotel Hours posted in pool area. Opening: All contestants / and / or chaperones for little ones will introduce themselves by saying "Representing the

___________pageant, I am Your name and contestant # . Each contestant will need to wear white slip-ons or white tennis shoes, white shorts, skirt, skort, Capri’s or dress slacks & their Princess of North Carolina T-Shirts (Given at Registration in packets) The T-Shirts will be black with white design and letters. Additional tee shirts are available please indicate size on order information sheet. Little through Miss Contestants: Do not decorate t-shirts. If you choose to decorate, wait until interviews are completed.

Competition Guidelines

Talent: CD's Only. Talent may not exceed beyond 2.5 minutes. Label CD with contestant # and name. Note - If there is other music

on the talent CD, label the selection #. Talent is optional for all ages. Be age appropriate! Note - Always have a backup CD with you in case of emergency! Mail self-addressed stamped envelope if you forget to pick up your music. Talent props are NOT allowed unless it’s a chair or (similar) as part of the routine or small hand held carry on object. (Ask if in doubt) We provide hand held, on stand and leveler microphones at no additional charge. A grand piano will be available through the Theater (for an additional theatre fee) Beauty: Baby, Wee, & Tiny Miss short pageant style dress or baby doll style dresses.. Little, Junior, Young, Teen & Miss - Long

pageant dress. Make-up is allowed but keep it toned down and look your age. Be Age Appropriate! Interview: A three minute private interview is mandatory for ages 7 & up. Princess of North Carolina black tee-shirt, white tennis

shoes, slip-on’s or low wedges, (no heels), with white shorts, white skort, white skirt, or white pedal pushers or white slacks should be worn. Do not decorate or modify t-shirts. Contestants will all be uniform. Belts, hair ribbons, and hair accessories, are allowed.

(Shirts will be black with white designs). May decorate after interview if you choose. Physical Fitness: Ages 12 & under may wear a one or 2 piece, however bottom must be worn at the waistline for 2 piece outfits. Ages

13 & up, the 2 piece may not be lower than 3 inches below the belly button. The outfit can be spandex shorts, biker shorts, calves length, or long. You may wear a skirt over bottoms. Tank style tops, body suit style onesie’s, or sports bra styles are allowed. No sporting event outfits: Example: Cheerleading or softball uniforms. Contestant’s ages 7 and older will strike a fitness pose at the 2

on stage left. It may be a bicep pose or a jumping jack, a kick, or a jump. Note: NO dance or gymnastic routines or flips. You are allowed to jog, on-off stage and X to X, your choice. Contestants ages 6 & Under are not required to strike a pose Swimsuit: Optional All Ages: Can be one or two piece swimsuits. Please (remember to be age appropriate) A swim skirt or wrap may

be worn. No sunglasses over eyes. The judges cannot see your beautiful eyes! Shoes are optional but not judged! No Thongs; No tie closers. (Ties allowed for decorative purpose only. Swimsuits must be secured!

Sleepwear: Optional: Ages 6 & under / Carry on props are allowed in this competition. Photogenic: Optional, Photo may be black/white or color. Pictures must be 8x10 professional photographs. All pictures must be placed inside clear cover. Label cover with division and contestant #. All photos should be head/ or head and shoulder shots. Age Appropriate makeup is allowed, but picture must be a natural photograph. This means: “No enhancements! No retouched! (retouch exception allowed: TO remove a scratch, fever blister, or something that is not normally on the face) Pictures should look the age of the child! Photo(s) must be turned in at registration. Photos should be picked up following the pageant at the auditor’s

table along with scores. If anyone forgets photo, please send self-addressed postage paid envelope. Photographer may, but not required, can include a letter that reads photo not enhanced or retouched. Best Dress: Optional, judged solely on the dress during the beauty competition. Hair: Due to liability issues, we allow fake hair. We will not put our hands on children checking to see if hair and teeth are real or fake.

However, we ask that you please keep children looking as age appropriate as possible. We want children to look like children. This is a semi-glitz pageant and not a full glitz pageant, so please keep it toned down and look your age.

Photographer: A professional photographer, will be on hand Thursday. You may sign up for pictures. They will also be available during the pageant on Friday and Saturday for anyone wishing to purchase photos. She will provide a CD for those who purchase. Cameras and video cameras/filming or photgraphing by ipads or phones are not allowed in the auditorium during competition. Those caught doing so will be asked to leave. “Sills Videography”: Our videographer, Jeff Sills is available during registration taking orders for videos. He will also be available during the pageant on Friday and Saturday for anyone wishing to purchase a copy of the DVD’s. The entire State Pageant is 100.00, or you can purchase the younger or older groups separately.

Contestants must have a valid North Carolina address and have been a resident of North Carolina for at least six months. She must be single/ never married, or given birth.

Proof of age is required. She (the contestant and/or guardian) further agrees to grant Princess of North Carolina and their licensees the use any photographs and/or DVD for publicity purposes in connection with the pageant without further compensation to contestant or family. The director’s and staff of Princess of North Carolina, its subsidiaries,

host hotel and location where the event(s) are being held will not be held responsible for any damages, or liabilities due to accident, injury or loss of property resulting from

contestant’s participation in this event. Princess of North Carolina reserves the right to change the location and/or date of the Pageant should there be cause. All 2020 queens

must return as the reigning Princess of NC State Queens and crown the 2021 Princess of NC winners without exception. There will be some mandatory events throughout the title reign in which winners must participate, schedules will be forthcoming. The executive directors for PONC reserve the right to change and/or alter these schedules and their

content as needed. Contestant/parent, whose name appears, warrants that they have made no false representations on these forms and agree that all information provided is

true and accurate to the best of their knowledge. Winners must fulfill their duties, will abide by all rules and regulations and shall conduct themselves at all times in a manner

befitting their title. Any Queen that cannot abide by the rules & regulations set forth will be asked to relinquish their title within ten days and return all items presented in the awards package undamaged. If damaged, queen or her guardian will be responsible for full cost or full replacement. If PONC Owner chooses to be reimbursed the cost of

awards, it is at her discretion. We reserve the right to disqualify any contestant or refuse entry to anyone in this or future pageants for poor sportsmanship, rule violations, or

not honoring their title. All legal fees incurred will be the responsibility of the contestant and/or guardians or title holders/or guardians of title holders if queen or contestant is

under 18 years of age while on the court. The winners of the 2020 Princess of North Carolina State Pageant may not represent any other pageant title during their reign without

prior approval from the Princess of North Carolina State Owner. The Princess of North Carolina Pageant is non refundable. By signing you agree to all the attached rules and regulations included in the state application.

Princess of North Carolina State Pageant (Entry Fees)

Princess of North Carolina State Pageant Rules and Regulations

1) Contestants and/or parents are not allowed to approach the judges at any time during the pageant.

2) Judges decisions are final and indisputable.

3) Score sheets, Talent tapes; CDs and Photogenic pictures will be available at the auditor’s table immediately following the Coronation ceremony.

We will not be responsible for keeping or returning any items left behind.

4) No props allowed for talent competitions. Exception: a chair / stool as part of the routine or small hand held carry on object. (Ask if in doubt)

5) Only the contestant and one chaperone are allowed in the dressing rooms. Exception: Paid

Hairdressers and/or make-up persons are allowed in the dressing room area if they have paid passes.

6) Hairdressers and/or make-up persons are each required to pay a $50 access fee. The fee must be paid directly by the client to PONC. H/M people

are responsible for bringing their own table, chair, and extension cords, etc. When finished each H/M person is responsible for cleaning up their

own area! Fees paid are per contestant. We are not responsible for accidents caused by hot irons or any items brought in by Hair/Makeup artist.

7) Contestant numbers should be worn on the left side waist area if at all possible! We provide a clip, no pins necessary

8) Contestants must be on time for scheduled competitions. We cannot delay competitions to wait for any contestant! It is the responsibility of the

chaperone to insure that the contestant is on time for each event. The pageant staff will not be responsible for informing contestants of times for

scheduled competitions. Chaperones should follow the schedule of events listed in the program book and also listen for any changes that may be

announced during competition! Any contestant that is not on time for their scheduled competition will be allowed to compete as the last person in

their division with a two-point (2) penalty per judge for that competition!

9) Any items left behind backstage or in the dressing room areas will be collected and retained for a period of ten days after the pageant! If these

items are not claimed within the ten (10) day period we reserve the right to dispose of the property as we see fit. If you left something behind

contact us and if you can prove the item is yours we will gladly return it to you! Any postage or handling fees are the responsibility of the parent

and/or guardian who is claiming said property!

10) Only “Official” Princess of North Carolina preliminary applications/information may be distributed at or during the pageant at any time unless

expressly permitted by the state directors! Any such material if found will be removed!

11) Information on whom or how many are competing in any age group will not be disclosed.

12) Additions or changes to the application information or competitions may be made up until 3 weeks prior to the pageant date!

13) No solicitors will be allowed at the event location unless specifically approved by the state directors!

14) The use of any type of radio’s, walkie-talkies, boom boxes, CD players, etc. is not allowed in the auditorium or in the dressing room areas.

15) Please do not leave valuable items unattended in the dressing areas or restrooms! (PONC is not responsible)

16) No still cameras, videos, or recording devises are allowed inside the auditorium. Anyone reported to the staff for either of these violations will be

asked to put their cameras away and/or removed from the auditorium! An official photographer and videographer will be available for anyone

wishing to purchase photo packages or videos.

17) Please, no food or drinks allowed inside the auditorium at any time! If you are caught with either, you will be ask to leave without refund.

18) We would ask that everyone please wait before approaching the stage with your flowers, gifts, etc. until after pictures have been taken.

19) We reserve the right to disqualify any contestant or refuse entry to anyone in this or future pageant for poor sportsmanship, inappropriate language

or behavior or not honoring the duties of their title. Any and all legal fee's incurred will be the responsibility of the contestant, parent(s) and/or

guardians.

Princess of North Carolina State Title Rules and Regulations

1) Contestants must have a valid North Carolina address and have resided within the State for at least 6 months of the year.

2) Contestants must be single, never married, never given birth, and must be born female to compete. (due to my religious belief)!

3) All queens must return as the reigning Princess of NC titleholder wearing their official crown and banner and crown their successors.

4) State queens are not allowed to compete in any pageant during their reign without prior written approval from the state directors.

5) Reigning state queens may not compete in any pageant including state pageants that carry a binding title or that interferes with any PONC

mandatory appearances.

6) State queens are required to represent their Princess of North Carolina State title solely at all times. See contract for specific guidelines. Rules

regarding qualifying pageant title representation are set forth by that pageants director. PONC has no ownership of Qualifying Pageants

7) The outgoing Princess of North Carolina Overall Supreme is not eligible to return and compete within the Princess of North Carolina system.

The Mini-Supreme titleholder must wait until the 2nd

year after relinquishing her title before returning.

8) Division winners may not hold the same division title twice. Example: The title holder wins her division at age Seven (7) (Little Miss) she

cannot return to compete again until she reaches age 10 or agrees to move up a division at age (9) at which time she would compete as a

Junior Miss contestant in the 10 to 12 age division.

9) No gossiping or badmouthing will be tolerated at any time. If there is a question or concern, please speak privately with the directors.

10) At mandatory appearances, you must arrive on time and dressed prepared for your appearance. ( Groomed for an appearance)

11) Some mandatory events/appearances will be required of all State queens, schedules forthcoming. We will have a private FB message board

for the new court. We ask that you check it at least once a day for updates and information on upcoming events. All queens will be required

to make at least ten (10) appearances in addition to your mandatory parade appearances. All state queens are required to attend mandatory

events as follows: Raleigh Christmas Parade the third Saturday in November including the rain date (the next day, Sunday) or dates provided

by GRMA. The PONC State queens Christmas Party following the Raleigh Christmas Parade. The Azalea Festival Parade and group picture

for program book during the weekend of Azalea Festival in April held in Wilmington NC (you must stay with the group through lunch), the

Victory Junction Camp Run For Victory and tour/in Sept. which includes a one night stay at the camp and a dinner provided at no charge for

the queen and her parents, the PONC Birthday Party in June, The state queens fundraiser (The Gala, which is usually in February). Actual

dates and times will be forwarded to you as soon as they are determined. Please be aware dates and times may be subject to change.

NOTE! – Raleigh Christmas Parade float cost will be equally divided among the court and will be due by October 1st.

Azalea Festival Parade float cost will also be divided equally and that amount will be due by February 1st .

12) If a previous title is already held, the new state queen may return to crown her successor; however, immediately following must put on her

official Princess of North Carolina state crown and banner.

13) You will be required to keep a scrapbook showing your appearances during your title reign. Scrapbooks must be traditional with paper media

and photos. No digital scrapbooks are allowed (slide show, power point, etc.).

14) PONC Queens must have a professional 16x20 or (larger) portrait wearing their state PONC Crown to display on an easel for the following

years PONC State Pageant. Clothing and background are the queens’ choice. ( Portraits may be larger, but no smaller than a 16 x 20 ) Also a

5x7 is required for the program book wearing their crown and banner. Use of the robe is contestant choice for picture. Background : Gray or

blue-gray (for program book)

15) You will be required to have a matching outfit for the Azalea Parade.

16) You, Your Guardians or anyone related to you agree never to take any legal actions against Princess of North Carolina, the owner, directors,

or any of its affiliates.

17) Each state queen will be required to purchase a black uniform wind suit and 2 tees with their state title and name monogrammed on the suit.

All size information taken immediately following pageant. Purchase information will be provided. Fee’s due within 2 weeks of cornation. This

item is subject to change based on mutual consensus. (price to be determined by seller)

18) Each queen will be required to personally raise at least at least $500 dollars during her title reign for Victory Junction. This would be in addition

to any funds raised as a group. A check for the total amount will be presented at the following years State pageant.

19) Royalty capes, which are awarded to each division, Supreme winners (overall & mini) and the Royal Miss, are the responsibility of each State

queen and must be returned at the end of their title reign. Capes are to be worn ONLY by the State Queen to whom they were issued. (DO

NOT WASH). Return capes on hangers with name and 15.00 attached for dry cleaning in an envelope. If cape is lost or stolen it must be

replaced and/or repaired at the expense of the parent or guardian(s). These capes cost approx 275.00 each give or take a little.

20) Winners must fulfill their duties and will abide by all the rules and regulations set forth here and conduct themselves in a manner representing

the high standards, which a Princess of North Carolina State title demands. This includes the contestants’ legal guardians as well!!! Please be

mindful of inappropriate words or photos that are posted on social media. Inappropriate language or pictures posted will not be allowed.

21) Any Queen that cannot abide by the rules & regulations set forth here and in their signed contract will be asked to relinquish their title within

ten days and return the cape, (if damaged will pay $275.00 to replace) directors choice. They must also return or pay to replace all the

winners’ gifts. This is up to the owner/ and or director of PONC whether to except the awards or charge to replace them. All legal fees are the

responsibility of the queen and/or guardian.

22) All Scholarship money will presented at the completion of the queens reign and presented on stage to her with her presidential service award.

23) PONC reserves the right to modify, change schedules, revise or change any information contained in the application, rules, and regulations or

to the official contracts signed by each parent/guardian on behalf of their minor child or State Queen if she is of legal age.

24) Each Queen will be required to attend the opening dance rehearsals for the following state pageant.

25) Each Queen will be required to attend the coronation dinner and the first group meeting. (approx date within the month after coronation)
