Transcript of Our Super Easy Way To Convert Analog To Digital
» Do you have a pile of vinyl records, VHS
cassettes, vacation slides and mix tapes
left over from the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s?
» Good news! Those
old memories and
rare recordings can
now be preserved
digitally with the
Library’s Media
Conversion Station
in the MakerSpace.
» Something on which to save
your new digital files. This can
be a recordable CD/DVD, a
flash drive, or even cloud
storage.
» You also might
want to bring
headphones or
earbuds if you plan
on converting
audio files while
listening to them.
» The media station converts in real
time, which means if you have a
30-minute record or a two-hour
videotape it will take the same
amount of time to digitally convert it.
» Camcorders, handheld recorders
and other devices that use
cassette tapes can be hooked up if
you still have the connector cord.
» The Media Conversion Station can be
reserved for two hours at a time.
Customers are limited to one
reservation a day, but can make up to
six reservations six weeks in advance.
» To make a reservation online, go to CincinnatiLibrary.org and select “Reserve” under Station Reservations.
