So how exactly does it work? Over the next three months, The Next Web will be selecting 150start-ups to join them at TNW Conference in Amsterdam. Perhaps the most intriguing highlightfor the early-stage participants is the opportunity to pitch to investors and TNW attendees onstage. However, receiving actual funding is only one of the great opportunities offered by TNW,as there are loads of additional benefits that come along with participating. Each company willreceive coverage on The Next Web blog (which has roughly 17 million page views per month),additional visibility on different social channels as well as the opportunity to meet a TNWeditor, one-on-one.

More information regarding the benefits of Boost, as well as the program's application formcan be found here. Shortlisted startups will be invited for an interview with a TNW teammember. The program is open to any startup under two years old that has acquired less than€3 million in funding, has a fully functional demo of their product, and was launched no earlierthan January 2013.

While the program itself will only be held for the third time, The Next Web has a long history ofaccelerating the growth of startups. The focus has always been the same, but the Boostprogram has been specifically curated to provide a product built on all the great experienceand knowledge gained from the previous programs. The competition is undoubtedly becomingmore competitive and desirable within the startup community, as well as with investors, eachyear. Since the initial announcement on Tuesday, the Boost program has already had morethan 70 applications.

“This year we've increased our business area so that we can host an extra 50startups in an attempt to keep up with growing demand. It may not be enoughthough – the program has only been live for a matter of days, but we've alreadyhad enough applications to fill half of the available 150 spots.„— Erik Strömback, Boost program co-ordinator
