2 CENTS A MEAL COLLECTION JAN. 3 & FEB. 7 Collections take place the first Sunday of each month. The 2 Cents a Meal program is designed to help with the ongoing problem of world hunger. Families are encouraged to take a sticker and put it on a soup can, and then keep it in a handy place. As you sit down to eat each meal, please have each member of your family put 2 cents into the can, and also pray for people who don't have enough to eat around the world. The big bucket is put in the back of the church on the first Sunday of each month for you to bring the contents of your can in to deposit. The money collected is sent in by the church treasurer to help provide food for families worldwide.

PIONEER CLUBS Meetings will be held Wednesdays evenings from 6:00 – 7:00, with a kick-off night on January 6. Please contact Jessie Rager for more information and to register your child(ren) if you have not already done so. We are still in need of a leader for the 3 and 4 year old group. Let us know if you’re able to help out.

WILD GAME FEAST Attention all hunters: Don’t forget that there will be a wild game feast at Pleasant Hill on January 16! Please contact Rick Perrine (242-9859) if you are willing to donate anything for this church fundraiser.

TRIVIA AND CARRY-IN DINNER A trivia event will be held in the fellowship hall on Sunday, January 17, at 5 PM. Please bring a covered dish and come and enjoy some fun, food and fellowship.

GOLD TEAM MEETING The Gold Team (Spiritual Renewal) will meet at 5:30 PM on Thursday, January 21 in the chapel.

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE An Ash Wednesday service will be held at Pleasant Hill on February 10, from 6:00 – 6:45 PM.

VALENTINE’S PARTY FOR CHILDREN On Sunday, February 14, a Valentine’s Party will be held in the fellowship hall from 3-5 PM, Children of all ages are welcome to attend.

REQUESTS FOR SONGS AT EITHER SERVICE Please remember that you are welcome to make song requests for either of our morning worship services. Please write your praise song requests for the 8:00 service or your hymn requests for the 10:30 service on a slip of paper and place them in the offering plate.

ALTAR FLOWERS If you wish to place flowers on the altar at any time during the year, please contact the church office at least a week ahead of time. The cost is $20 for one arrangement, $30 for two.

SHOE PROJECT We have completed our second shoe collection, and the Auxiliary for the Brethren Home has made a total of $3,077.20. We turned over almost 7,000 pairs. Officially, we will announce our next drive in the spring, but we still have shoes coming. Place your shoes on the pews in the chapel, if you have any left! You are not only helping the CoB Home residents, but also those in third world countries.

Please consider giving a day or a week out of your busy schedules toward this very rewarding and worthwhile ministry. Contact Herb Ewald at [email protected] or (814) 539-8530.
