If a student has good results in all subjects he passes to the next level in September

If a student has bad results in some subjects (max. 3) he has to pass an examination at the beginning of September

If a student has bad results in more than 3 subjects he has to repeat the same level

The Primary School (commonly known as elementary school) lasts 5 years.

The lower secondary school – “Scuola Media” – provides a common general education to students. It lasts for three years

The Classical High School has a curriculum whose main subjects are : Italian, Latin. Greek , History, Philosophy and Art .The students also study mathematical and scientific subjects. It lasts 5 years

It mainly focuses on Math, Physics ,Sciences as well as geometric and architectural design. The students also study Italian. Latin, English, History and Filosophy.It lasts 5 years..

As the name suggests, combines a classic-scientific high school preparation with the study and application of the arts (painting, sculpture, architecture, graphics and cultural heritage). It lasts 4 years

The linguistic high school provides the teaching of foreign languages. English and French are compulsory for the students .They study a third language choosing between German and Spanish. They also study , Italian, Maths, Science,History and Latin.Latin only for 2 years.It lasts 5 years

A student has to pass a final national exam at the end of the 5th year.

THE NEW SCHOOL REFORM The Italian Parliament has recently changed the educational system with a vast reform.  WE ARE GOING TO HAVE:

HIGH SCHOOL REFORM IS SUPPOSED TO START NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!

The Central Library is located in Via Melis but

there is a reading room in each branch.

The school library is not merely a container of books,

but handles operations aimed at the loan and is a

place of social promotion of culture: to orient, inform and

involve students in the debates.

Sardinian students .This project is promoted by

“Regione Autonoma della Sardegna”
