PROGRESS TO DATE

In September 2015, Felmersham & Radwell Parish Council applied for the designation of the whole of the Felmersham & Radwell Parish as a Neighbourhood Plan area.

After considering comments received during the consultation process, Bedford Borough Council endorsed the proposal in a decision statement dated 3 November 2015.

A Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group has been established by the Parish Council, under the chairmanship of Rosemary Drewery, to carry out the preparation of our Neighbourhood Plan.

YOUR “STEERING GROUP”

Parish Councillors: Rosemary Drewery and Rosie Cheetham Doug McMurdo (Borough Councillor)

Steering Group: Janet Cook, Ken Shrimpton, Iain Billing,

Susan Aykin, Jane Carwithen, Janet Barber, Luke Gardiner, Ian Kimsey and Dave Oliver

Neighbourhood Plans are by their very essence community prepared and led plans. Some of the most successful plans have had a wide number of volunteers working on the project offering a combination of skills, enthusiasm or simply outright commitment to help their neighbourhoods achieve their strategy.

Bedford Borough Council are supporting the work and Felmersham &

Radwell Parish Council will consider commissioning the services of a planning consultant to provide essential guidance and support.
