Our New Name Fundraisers
Transcript of Our New Name Fundraisers
In the Spring issue of the Tidings, we shared that the Board had delved into the history of the organization. We noted that the term ‘auxiliary’ was no longer descriptive of the composition of our membership. Many members continue to be affi liated with United Methodist Churches within the York District. In recent years, we have grown to encompass residents and their family members, along with many other friends. From the earliest days, we have been committed to raising funds to enhance the comfort and enjoyment in the lives of residents of Normandie Ridge. As the direct fi nancial support from area churches has decreased, we have expanded our fundraising eff orts. Our purpose remains to use these funds to provide purposeful living through compassionate service for all of Normandie Ridge residents. Th e term ‘friends’ appropriately defi nes the kind, supportive, dedicated and loving relationships of our members. Th ank you.

After four years of planning, designing and development, the dream of a senior trail and nature park is fi nally a reality. Th e ribbon cutting marking the offi cial opening of the West Manchester Township Happy Trails Nature Park was held on May 27. Th e nature park is located between the Normandie Ridge Campus and the Greens at Westgate Apartment Homes. It features a paved fi gure eight trail in a lovely natural setting. Th e trail is lined with sturdy wooden benches, including three that were donated by Friends of the Normandie Ridge Community. Th e Board invites you to visit the park to take a relaxing walk and spend time observing the beauty of nature.
