What is the beyond program?
Beyond provides a program that expands your education through student-driven instruction, face-to-face instruction, and cutting-edge technology.
By uniting these ideas, the students receive a multifaceted education that helps prepare them for life in the 21st Century and Beyond.

How Does Beyond Student Perform on EOC & NGSSS?
• Real time feedback and assistance based on individual needs.
• More small group interactions between teachers and students.
• More timely grade reporting/completion.
• Opportunities to collaborate with peers allows students alternative ways to learn and master curriculum.
The Beyond Program is a reading-intensive program. Students will learn much of their material through reading.
Note-taking is required for all core content classes.
FAQ’s
• Students will be issued a computer from SSMS for use at school. The family has the option of purchasing an insurance policy that allows students to take their computer home.
• The child is responsible for the computer at all times.
What if students can’t afford a computer?
• Yes, students have classroom presentation opportunities and participate in cooperative learning activities. Some lessons will require classroom activities.
• Will students complete any assignments or projects offline?

• Yes. Students have the benefit of working on their curriculum 24 hours a day from most places. However, they are also expected to be in the classroom to receive the blended learning experience.
Does my child have to come to school to participate in the program?
All online applications must be submitted to SSMS
by March 1st.
