The altar flowers for Sunday, August 13,

will be given in loving memory of Lois

Dameron by H.G. Dameron.

S aturday we as a faith family served our community with a free

clothes and school supplies giveaway. It was a blessing to be able

to help, pray with, and present the gospel to people in our

community. God allowed us to help hundreds of people! A big thank you

to everyone that helped, gave, and prayed for this missions event.

Sunday's Sermon Luke 9: 37 - 48. Please be in study and prayer!

Sunday Night: Back to school bash!

Sunday Mornings Follow-up:

Idolatry: Is anything that replaces the one, true God. Maybe this is work,

self, children, preference, etc. Search your hearts this week to make sure

that God is supreme. Repent of anything that is equal to God. Lastly, read

God's Word and let the Holy Spirit apply biblical truths to your life.

In Christ,

Pastor Jeremy

News from the Missions Commi0ee 1) Quarterly Local Mission Project

“Serving the Community”- Free Clothes &

School Supplies Give-A-Way

The Missions Commi$ee extends a great big thank you to our

faith family for your tremendous support of last Saturday’s

(August 5) Free Clothes and School Supplies Give-A-Way. While

there was a great deal of uncertainly about how the event

would go because TCBC had never a$empted a project of this

type and magnitude, the Holy Spirit was present and blessed

our service in amazing ways. Over 140 informa,on cards were

collected, which represented an es,ma,on of over 400 men,

women, and children that came through the Fellowship Hall.

Many physical needs were met as these folks received much

needed clothes and school supplies. Also, over 55 Bibles were

given away. Spiritual needs were addressed as most of these

individuals were prayed for and engaged in conversa,on about

their needs and concerns. The individuals who filled out

informa,on cards will be followed up by a le$er from Pastor

Jeremy.

At least 36 of our church members showed up Saturday to help.

Many of these 36 plus several other members worked many,

many hours prior to Saturday. And, a large number of our

members donated clothes and school supplies. All these

sacrifices were necessary to make Saturday the fruiRul day that

it was. Again, thank you faith family for your tremendous

support. To God be the glory!

2) Odum Home Needs Drive

The Missions Commi$ee thanks everyone who has donated

items to this drive. We are pleased with the response and are

thankful that we can meet many of the needs at the Odum

Home. The Missions Commi$ee will deliver all donated items to

the Odum Home as soon as a delivery date can be arranged. All

church members are invited to par, cipate in this delivery.
